Five cards made for the Christmas Stampathon using the Cottage Wreaths and Ringed With Nature stamp sets and Country Wreaths Dies by Stampin' Up!

Wreath cards made for the Christmas Stampathon

This month’s theme for the Christmas Stampathon is ‘wreaths’ and my first instinct was to use one of the wreaths from the Cottage Wreath stamp set. However, when I pulled the stamp set off the shelf, I was drawn to the leafy sprig image instead and ended up using this as the basis for my card.

Colours used in these cards are:

To recreate the wreath Christmas cards, you will need:

5 card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”- I used Real Red & Pretty Peacock
5 matting layers – 5⅛” by 3⅜ – I used Real Red & Pretty Peacock
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Distressed Gold dsp
On some of the card I rounded the bottom, right corner on some or all the layers.

I sketched a rough circle using a pencil in the upper half of the smaller panels of Basic White card. Around the circle I stamped the leafy sprig in Lost lagoon ink. The pencil circle was then erased.

The trio of flowers, from the Ringed with Nature stamp set was stamped in Real Red ink, three times around the wreath. I cleaned the stamped and inked up only the smallest flower and added a scattering of these smaller flowers.

The tiny pair of holly leaves from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set were randomly stamped around the wreath in Pretty Peacock ink.

I added the sentiment from the Ringed With Nature stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink, below the wreath. The whole panel was then embossed using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder before it was glued to the matting panel offset to the left side. The whole piece was then added to the card base on Dimensionals.

The bow was die cut using the Country Wreaths Dies from scraps of Distressed Gold dsp and added to the side of the wreath.

A trio of Red Rhinestones completed the card. As per the rules, I made 5 cards and added them to may stash.

Country Wreaths card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are working with a sketch challenge. I have used the Cottage Wreaths stamp set to create my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the country wreaths card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Sweet Sorbet card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Sweet Sorbet, Soft Succulent and 2022 – 2024 In Color dsp.

I ran the smaller panel of Basic White card through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. This was then glued to the Sweet Sorbet panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same glue to adhere the piece to the Soft Succulent card base.
