A pretty Koala themed get well card made using The Count on Me Stamp set and Dandy Designs dsp by Stampin' Up!

Koala Hugs Get Well Card

Today I am sharing a card made for a lovely lady who is struggling with ill health. I used the Count on Me stamp set to make the card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the Koala Hugs card, you will need

Rich Razzleberry card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left and lower right corner
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”– rounded upper left and lower right corner
Design a Daydream dsp – 5½” by 1⅛” x 3
Rich Razzleberry – 3” by 3”
Blushing Bride – 2 ½” by 2 ½”
Basic White card – 2 ¼” by 2 ¼”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left and lower right corner

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the strips of Design a Daydream designer series paper to the largest piece of Basic White card, leaving a small gap between each strip. The panel was then adhered to the Rich Razzleberry card base.

The cute koala image was stamped in memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small square of Basic White card. This was then die-cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Using the same dies, I die-cut a larger circle from the Rich Razzleberry square to add behind the stamped image. I felt the piece needed something else so die-cut a scalloped circle, a tiny bit bigger than the white circle from the square of Blushing Bride card. The three pieces were the glued together.

A length of Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon was secured to the back of the Rich Razzleberry circle using Seal +. The whole piece was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set was inked up with Rich Razzleberry ink and stamped below the dsp strips. I used a Post It Note to mask off the part of the sentiment I didn’t want.

Hues of Happiness dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 4” by 2½”

The following Blends Pens were used to colour in the image – Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Petal Pink and Pool Party. I like to edge the image with a light colour ink to ‘ground’ the image and use a Color Lifter to blur the edges of the colouring. The panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
