Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing a project we have been working on. I saw a video recently using a colour blocking technique and thought I would give it a try. I have used the Delicate Forest stamp set to make my card. Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the colour blocked thank you card, you will need:
Pebbled Path card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
I used some washi tape from my stash to mask off areas on the 5¼” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card.
Using Blending Brushes, I added Lemon Lolly ink to all three panels, varying the position with each panel. Next, I added Peach Pie ink. Finally, I added Petunia Pop ink to each masked third.
Leaving the washi tape in position I stamped a couple of the images from the Delicate Forest stamp set in Pebbled Path ink onto each panel. I carefully removed the washi tape.
I inked the sentiment, from the My Small Business stamp set, using the three colours used for blending. I started with the ‘A and N’ which I inked up with Lemon Lolly ink, having masked off the other 4 letters. The remaining letters were then inked up and the whole world stamped in the blank area.
A trio of 2024 – 2026 In Color Shimmer Gems completed the card.
Please hop on to share the inspiration provided by my crafty friends.
