A pretty Christmas card made using non traditional colours and using the Snowflake Wishes stamp set

Rosy Snowflakes

Here is a sweet non-traditional rosy snowflakes Christmas card. I  really like the snowflakes in these unusual colours, they look quite bold.

To recreate the rosy snowflakes Christmas card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Bermuda Bay – 5” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper right corner
Cherry Cobbler – 4¾” by 2⅞” – Rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 4⅝” by 2¾” – Rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded Upper right corner – for the inside

I ran the panel of Bermuda Bay through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine inside the Dainty Diamonds Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Rococo Rose card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the largest snowflake in Bermuda Bay ink randomly over the same panel. I added the other two snowflakes in Rococo Rose ink. The group of small snowflakes were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and the dotty image Was used to fill in the gaps using Rococo Rose ink.

A pretty Christmas bauble themed Christmas card made using Stampin' Up! products

Gleaming Baubles

It’s that time again you are joining me for the December Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Christmas’.  I love a bit of Christmas crafting and have made a gleaming baubles card using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. If you have hopped over from the lovely Cheryl Taylor, welcome. If you are starting with me you are also very welcome.

To recreate the Gleaming Baubles card you will need:

Seaside Spray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner

Pretty Peacock – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded  Brightly Gleaming Stamp set.upper left corner

Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner x 2
Scrap Whisper White and Just Jade.

Using a Sponge Dauber I added Frost White Shimmer Paint to one of the baubles from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and stamped it onto one of the Whisper White panels. I repeated this step, randomly stamping the image over the Whisper White panel. This gives such a subtle background with a soft shimmer. The stamped panel was then added to the Pretty Peacock layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The Most Wonderful Time product Medley by Stampin' Up! used to make a quick Christmas card

Most Wonderful Time

Here is a quick Christmas card made using the Most Wonderful Time product medley inspired by a card I saw on Youtube made by fellow demonstrator Julie Kettlewell.

To recreate the Most Wonderful Time card, you will need:

Old Olive card base –- 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
Most Wonderful Time dsp -4⅞” by 1” x 3
Whisper White – 3¼” by 2½”
Scrap Whisper White

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the 3 strips of the Most Wonderful Time designer series paper to one of the large Whisper White panels. I always place the 2 side panels first, getting the border as even as possible. I can then add the centre strip making sure it is an equal distance from the other 2 strips. You also need to match up your pattern so don’t mix the up!

Stampers Showcase blog hop featuring a snowy tree scene using the In The Pines stamp set

Snowy Trees – Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me today for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is ‘heat or dry embossing’. If you have hopped over from Melissa Seplowitz,  welcome. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes and I live near Cambridge in the UK. I saw a beautiful card on Pinterest by one of our talented Artisan Design Team Members, Tammy Wilson – I loved it so much I decided to CASE it.

To recreate the Snowy Trees card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Highland Heather – 4⅛” by 3⅛”
Whisper White – 4” by 3”
Silver Foil – 4⅛” by ¼”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside

Using Versamark ink I stamped the in-fill tree image, from the In The Pines stamp set, multiple times onto the smaller Whisper White panels. I covered the stamped trees with White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.

In The Pines stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a set of Christmas cards

October Stamp-A-Stack

Yesterday I had my first in person all day October Stamp-a-Stack event since mid-March, how mad is that……. I had to completely rethink how I design for and organise these events to minimise sharing of tools and product and allow us to adhere to social distancing regulations. I have to say I really enjoyed the challenge.

I offered 2 choices for this event – by post or in person.

Each participant received a pizza style box crammed with enough goodies to create 20 cards. I designed 10 cards and they will made 2 of each design.
