Whiskey Galore for the Family Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Family themed Blog Hop where we are sharing a project inspired by, or made for a family member. I have chosen to make a whiskey galore card inspired by my husband and son who are both lovers of whiskey.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the whiskey galore card, you will need:

Basic Gray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Gray card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Daffodil Delight card – 3” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

I inked up the decanter image with Basic Gray ink and randomly stamped all over the Basic Gray panel. The panel was then mounted onto the Basic Gray card front on Black Dimensionals.

The same image was stamped onto the square of Basic White card using the same ink. I used Post It notes to mask off the decanter and added the glass using the Basic Gray ink.

I coloured the decanter and glass using the following Blend Pens – Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Smoky Slate and the Color Lifter. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray ink.

The image was die cut using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. I used one of the banners for the same die set to die cut a banner from the Daffodil Delight strip. This banner was glued to the card front and the circle, with the side trimmed off, added over top.

I stamped the martini glass in the bottom right corner of the Whisper White panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the same image onto a PostIt note and trimmed it out with sharp scissors. I covered the stamped glass with the PostIt mask and stamped it again.

Taking a ruler and the Stampin’ Write Black Marker I drew a straight line all around the panel about ¼” in from the side, I broke the line where the first glass protruded past the lines.
