Winter Gloves cards – Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards made for September’s Christmas Stampathon where our theme ‘Hats, Gloves or Stockings’. I used the retired Celebrate With Tags stamp set to make my cards.

Colours used in these cards are:

 

To recreate the cards, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 2½”
Foil – 6” by ⅜” x 2 – I used retired Real Red and Granny Apple Green
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

Using the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder, I embossed the 5⅞” by 2½” piece of Basic White card.

I adhered the strips of foil to the top and bottom of the embossed panel, wrapped a length of twine around each panel and glued the whole piece to the Crumb Cake card front.

The gloves, from the Celebrate with Tags stamp set which is sadly retired, were stamped on the scrap Basic White card. For one card I used Poppy Parade, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Real Red. For the second card I used Granny Apple Green, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia and Lost Lagoon. All of the gloves were fussy cut using sharp scissors.

The sentiment from the Reindeer Fun stamp set was stamped in either Cherry Cobbler or Granny Apple Green ink.

Winter Mittens card for the Christmas Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Christmas Blog Hop where we are sharing seasonal themed projects. I have used the mittens from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

 

To recreate the Winter mittens card you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 2¼”
Azure Afternoon card – 4½” by ⅜” x 2
Basuc White card – 2⅝”by 1¼”
Azure Afternoon card – 2¾” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

The 2 snowflake images, from the Beary Cute stamp set, were mounted onto one acrylic block and randomly stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto the Crumb Cake card front.

The mitten was stamped in the centre of the 4⅛” by 2¼” panel of Basic White using Azure Afternoon. I used Grid Paper to help me get the mitten in the centre of the panel.

The mitten image was stamped again in Sweet Sorbet ink on the right and Calypso Coral ink on the left.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the longer strips of Azure Afternoon card to the top and bottom of the stamped panel and trimmed off the excess. The whole panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Rocking Horse stamp set, was stamped in Azure Afternoon ink onto the small piece of Basic White card. The smaller strip of Azure Afternoon card was glued along the bottom and the whole piece was tucked under the decorated panel.

Here is another pretty Christmas card made using the Fragrant Forest stamp set.

To recreate the panelled fragrant forest card, you will need:

Shaded Spruce card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Night of Navy card

 

I stamped the Fragrant Forest background stamp in Shaded Spruce ink onto the 5” by 3½” panel of Basic White card.

Using a trimmer I cut the stamped layer into 1” panels. These were glued to the 5½” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card leaving a small gap between each piece.

This panel was then glued to the Night of Navy layer and then glued to the Shaded Spruce card base.

A strip of Tear ‘N Tape was added to the card front and I looped some of the 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine and pressed the loops into the tape to secure it.

The sentiment, from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card. I punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I also punched another from the scrap Night of Navy card. I cut the Navy label in half and added it behind the white tag showing just a little colour top and bottom.

The sentiment was added on Dimensionals over the Twine and a trio of Tinsel Gems completed the card.

Embossed Fragrant Forest card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects featuring dry embossing.  This is such a fab technique and adds so much to any project. I used the beautiful Fragrant Forest background stamp and the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder to make my card.

To recreate the embossed fragrant forest card you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3⅝”
Vellum – 5” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

 

I inked up the Fragrant Forest stamp using Shaded Spruce ink and stamped it down onto the smallest panel of Basic White card.

The stamped panel was glued to the 5⅜” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card.

I worked out roughly where the sentiment was going to go and added a piece of Tear ‘N Tape to the stamped panel and added the Vellum overtop, secured in place by the tape.

A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine was wrapped around the panel before it was mounted onto the Night of Navy card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Rocking Horse stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Night of Navy ink. It was die cut using the Countryside Corners Dies. It was added over the twine.

Stars At Night cards for the Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards I made for the Christmas Stampathon’s luxurious Christmas cards theme. I have used the gorgeous Stars At Night stamp set and dies combined with the All About Autumn designer series paper to make my cards .

To recreate the stars and night card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
All About Autumn dsp – 5⅞” by 1½”
Copper Foil – 5⅞” by ⅜”
Pretty Peacock card – 3⅞” by 2⅝”
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2⅝”
Scrap Basic White card

 

The panel of All About Autumn dsp was glued to the front of the Thick Basic White card base. I added the strip of Copper Foil against the dsp panel.

I die cut a scalloped rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies. Using Versamark ink I stamped  the trio of stars in opposite corners, an the starburst image in the centre. I covered the stamping with Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it.

Using Blending Brushes I added some Pretty Peacock ink to the corners where there are no stars. The rectangle was then added to the panel of Pretty Peacock card and glued the card front.

The large star was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Basic White card, covered it with Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool.

The star was embossed embossed and die cut using the hybrid embossing folder and dies. The star was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
