I have been playing with the Window Wishes stamp set recently and here is one of the cards I came up with using the Christmas Candles from the set.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the Christmas candles card, you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 3⅛”
Distressed Gold card – 3½” by 3⅜”
Vellum card – 4⅛” by 1⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White, Pool Party & Garden Green
I stamped the sprig image from the Merriest Moments stamp set in Crumb Cake ink in the upper left and lower right corners of the Crumb Cake card base and set it aside.
The smaller piece of Basic White card was run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with one of the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders. I added the piece of Distressed Gold card behind the embossed panel having thriftily die a circle from the centre to use on another project. The panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
The trio of candles were stamped in Pool Party ink onto scrap Basic White card. The candle flames were stamped In So Saffron ink on the same piece of Basic White and die cut both images using the Window Dies. The flames were glued to the candles with a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I also die cut some of the sprigs from scrap Garden Green card using the Holly Berry Dies. Using a dab of liquid glue, I added the sprigs behind the candles.
The sentiment from the Window Wishes stamp set was stamped on a scrap of Pool Party card in Garden green in, trimmed down and added to the base of the candles. The whole piece was then added with liquid glue to the Vellum, having flagged the ends. A strip of Garden Green ribbon was added to the back of the vellum piece before it was mounted onto the embossed panel.
A trio of Brushed Metallic Dots completed the card. So pretty,
