Butterfly Silhouettes for the Thank You Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Thank You Blog Hop where we are sharing…………you’ve guessed it, thank you cards! I have used the card from my blog yesterday as inspiration for today’s butterfly silhouette card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the butterfly silhouettes card, you will need:

Melon Mambo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded lower left corner
Daffodil Delight card – 8⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded lower left corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3¾” – rounded lower left corner – for the inside
Basic Black card – 2” by 2”
Basic White card – 2“by 2”

I stamped the pretty butterfly from the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set, randomly all over the smaller panel of Basic White card in Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo ink. I love these colours together.

Mount the stamped panel onto the Daffodil Delight card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped a piece of Black Gingham Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Melon Mambo card front using the same glue.

The sentiment, from the Charming Sentiments stamp set, was stamped in Melon Mambo ink onto the square of Basic White card. I die cut this out using the Layering Circle Dies. I die cut a slightly larger scalloped circle from the Basic Black square. The two circles were glued together and added to the card front on Dimensionals.

A black gingham bow and a trio of Classic Matte Dots completed the card.
