Here is a cute, bright and cheerful birthday penguin themed card made using the Penguin Place stamp set. A great card for a child or young person.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the birthday penguin card, you will need:
Poppy Parade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Pacific Point card – 4⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Basic White card – ¼” strip
I stamped the balloon in Poppy Parade ink randomly all over the Poppy Parade card front to provide some texture and added 3 strips of Gold Shimmer Ribbon secured with Tear ‘n Tape.
The cute little penguin was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small panel of Basic White card and added the balloon string using the same ink. I added a little strip of ground in the same ink.
The bow tie was added with Poppy Parade ink and the penguin’s beak in Mango Melody ink. I stamped the balloon in Pacific Point.
Using the stamp that is meant for the penguin’s eyes I stamped in Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Pacific Point to create a fun, spotty background.
The stamped panel was added to the Pacific Point layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive before it was added on Dimensionals to the Poppy Parade card front.
Such a cute card. I hope you like it.
