I have been having a lot of fun with the Brave Vikings stamp set. It really reminds me of when my son was just starting school as he found it really difficult to sit still and concentrate, so if he had tried hard, he was allowed to go and read about something he loved – and he loved Vikings.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the Vikings card, you will need:
So Saffron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Soft Suede card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card strip ¼”
I stamped the Viking warrior in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card.
The image was coloured in using the following Blends Markers – Pool Party, So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, Soft Suede, Real Red, Smoky Slate, SU 300, SU 700, SU 1000 & the color lifter.
The coloured image was then glued to the Soft suede panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole piece was mounted onto the So Saffron card base on Dimensionals.
I masked off part of the sentiment from the Brave Vikings stamp set and stamped it on a strip of Basic White, it was added on Dimensionals to the card front.
A trio of Brushed Metallic Dots completed the card.
This is a really cute card for a little boy, or even for a bigger boy!
I hope you like it
