Sepia card for the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where we are sharing projects with a vintage theme. I have made a sepia effect card using the In The Moment stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the sepia card, you will need:

Pecan Pie card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Early Espresso card – 2¾” by ½”

Using the scripty stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set, I randomly stamped in full strength then in 2nd & 3rd generation Pecan Pie ink all over the Pecan Pie card front.

The sentiment, from the Best Family Ever stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Early Espresso card. I covered it with Wite Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

Pretty Birds card for the Frames Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Frames Blog Hop where we are, not surprisingly showcasing projects using frames. I don’t have any of the sets of frames dies so have improvised using the Beautiful Shapes Dies and the Pretty Birds stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Pretty Birds card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Tahitian Tide card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White and Gold Foil

Using a Blending Brush, I added Tahitian Tide ink to the Basic White panel.

I used 2 nested hexagonal dies from the Beautiful Shapes dies set and die cut 3 frames from scrap Gold Foil card. The gold frames were adhered to the inked Basic White panel. I stamped around the edges with Mossy Meadow ink.

The birds were coloured using Daffodil Delight ink, Petal Pink ink, Parakeet Party ink and Tahitian Tide ink. I coloured the little bit above the beak with a Soft Suede Marker Pen.
