Congratulations Graduate card – Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are celebrating graduations. I have used the sweet Bird’s Eye View stamp set to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the congratulations card, you will need:

Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Full of Life dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2¾”

I glued the panel of Full of Life dsp to one of the 5½” by 3¾” pieces of Basic White card. This panel was then added to the Azure Afternoon card base.

Using the Everyday Details Dies I die cut a rectangle from the 4¼” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card.

The images of the pile of books and the sweet bird, both from the Bird’s Eye View stamp set, were stamped onto the rectangle in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the images – Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate.

The sentiment came from the Light the Sky stamp set. I only wanted the word ‘congratulations’ so masked off the rest of the sentiment with a Postit Note. I inked up the word using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it above the coloured images. The decorated rectangle was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
