Hello and welcome to the Hopping Around the World Blog Hop where our theme is Halloween. If you have hopped over from Rachel Macleod, welcome. In the UK Halloween isn’t really a big deal, certainly not on the card front so I enjoyed the challenge of coming up with a suitable card.
To recreate the Halloween Card you will need:
Basic Black card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Whisper White – 5¾” by 4”
In Good Taste dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Scrap Basic Black, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I glued the ‘In Good Taste’ dsp to the larger Whisper White panel and then to the Basic Black card front.
I used my new Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine and the Wreath Dies to die cut three wreaths – 2 shrubby wreaths one in Gorgeous Grape and the other in Pumpkin Pie and one leafy wreath from Basic Black card. I used the liquid glue to adhere the 3 wreaths together.
I die cut the flowers from scrap Pumpkin Pie and Gorgeous Grape card and the sprigs from Shaded Spruce card and added them to the wreath using Mini Glue Dots.
The wreath was then adhered to the card front with the liquid glue. I added an Elegant Faceted Gem to the centre of each flower.
The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto Whisper White card and trimmed out using scissors before adding it to the card front with glue.
I hope you like the card.
