Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing sneak peek projects using products form the upcoming January – April 2023 Mini Catalogue. I have chosen to use the Beautiful Thistle stamp set and Dies to make my card.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the beautiful thistle card. You will need:
Fresh Freesia – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Old Olive card – 5⅜” by 3⅞” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded upper right corner
Old Olive card – 3” by ½”
Using a Blending Brush, I added Fresh Freesia ink to the 5¼” by 3½” Basic White panel. I inked up the texture stamp in the Fresh Freesia ink, stamped off in then stamped over the inked area to add some more texture. The panel was then glued to the Old Olive layer and then to the Fresh Freesia card base.
The largest thistle was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the 4¼” by 3”poece of Basic White card and then die cut the image using the Beautiful Thistle dies.
I used the Fresh Freesia and Old Olive Blends to colour in the image. I used the Blending Brush to add Fresh Freesia ink around the border of the flower.
The thistle was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Old Olive, covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. I flagged the end and added it to the card front with glue and a Dimensional.
A scattering of Opaque Adhesive-backed Gems completed the card. Love this stamp set.
Please continue around the hop to see what other lovely goodies we have in store over the next few months.
