Christmas Bauble cards made for the Christmas Stampathon using the Sparkling Snowflakes and Snowy Wonder stamp sets from Stampin' Up!

Christmas Bauble card – Christmas Stampathon

Today I am sharing the cards designed for the August Christmas Stampathon. Each month we are given a theme and asked to produce 4 or 5 identical cards to add to our stash in preparation for Christmas. This month’s theme is the letter B. I have decided the B is for bauble and have used the Sparkling Snowflakes and Snowy Wonder stamp sets to make my cards.

Colours used in these cards are:

To recreate the Christmas bauble cards, you will need:

Card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – I used 2 Highland Heather and 2 Pretty Peacock
Card layers – 4⅜” by 2⅞” – I used 2 Highland Heather and 2 Pretty Peacock
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2¾” – x 4
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 4 – for the inside
Pretty Peacock card – 1⅞” by ⅜” x 4
Scrap Basic White and Silver Foil

I used the medium snowflake from the Sparkling Snowflake stamp set, I stamped in the Upper left and lower right corners of the 4 card basis in the co-ordinating colour.

The 4¼” by 2¾” pieces of Basic White panels were then embossed using the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder. These pieces were then glued to the 4 panels measuring 4⅜” by 2⅞”.

Using the 2” Circle Punch, I punched 4 circles from scrap Basic White card. On each circle I stamped snowflakes, 2 large from the Sparkling Snowflakes stamp set and 2 small snowflakes from the Snowy Wonder stamp set using Highland Heather, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Misty Moonlight inks.

From scrap Silver Foil I die cut the snowman’s hat 4 times, these were then adhered to the top of each stamped circle turning them into baubles. I shaped the baubles using a Bone Folder to give a little dimension.

Pieces of silver twine from my stash were added to the back of the bauble with a Dimensional and a further couple of Dimensionals added down the centre. The bauble was then added to the panel. The other end of the twine was taped to the back of the embossed panel and the whole piece was glued to the card fronts.

Real Red card – 5⅛” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Adhesive Sheet – 4” by 3”
Boughs of Holly dsp – strips ⅜” wide

Gleaming Baubles

It’s that time again you are joining me for the December Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Christmas’.  I love a bit of Christmas crafting and have made a gleaming baubles card using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. If you have hopped over from the lovely Cheryl Taylor, welcome. If you are starting with me you are also very welcome.

To recreate the Gleaming Baubles card you will need:

Seaside Spray card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner

Pretty Peacock – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded  Brightly Gleaming Stamp set.upper left corner

Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner x 2
Scrap Whisper White and Just Jade.

Using a Sponge Dauber I added Frost White Shimmer Paint to one of the baubles from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and stamped it onto one of the Whisper White panels. I repeated this step, randomly stamping the image over the Whisper White panel. This gives such a subtle background with a soft shimmer. The stamped panel was then added to the Pretty Peacock layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on scrap Whisper White cardstock with Blackberry Bliss ink and fussy cut using my sharp scissors. It was added to the card front with the same liquid glue.

Beautiful Baubles stamp set and Detailed Baubles dies used for a Christmas Card

Simple Baubles Christmas Card

Today I have been making a Simple Baubles Christmas card using the Beautiful Baubles stamp set and the Tropic Chic dsp.

Making the card

I took a panel of Whisper White cardstock 4” by 3” and stamped the group of baubles from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set in Early Espresso Ink. I added the sentiment from the same stamp set in the same Early Espresso ink.

I stamped the baubles again on a scrap of Whisper White and die cut them using the Detailed Baubles dies and my Big Shot. One of the baubles was then coloured in using the light Real Red and the light Granny Apple Green Blends pens and added it over the top of the other stamped baubles on a dimensional.

I added this stamped layer to a panel of Early Espresso cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a small piece of Real Red Ribbon around the panel.

I glued a piece of Tropical Chic dsp 5⅞” by 1½” to the front of a Real Red card base and stamped the tiny snowflakes randomly across the remaining Real Red cardstock in Real Red ink. The stamped panel was then added using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A very simple Christmas card, I hope you like it.
