Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Tree Decorations’ – such a fun challenge. I have used the gorgeous Poinsettia Dies to make a hanging bauble for my tree.
Colours used in the Poinsettia Bauble are:
To recreate this project, you will need:
4” wooden circle
Real Red card – 8¼” by 3¼”
Garden Green card – 4½” by 2”
Scrap Gold Foil
Using a Big Bite hole puncher, I punched hole at the top of the 4” wooden circle. I used the Birch background stamp and Early Espresso ink and stamped it onto the circle and set it aside to dry. I mounted the stamp on a Stamparatus Plate as I find this easier to manage.
With my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the largest three flowers from the Poinsettia Dies. I cut the outline and the embossing piece at the same time.
I used a Bone Folder to curve the petals, the largest one downwards and the other two layers upwards. I adhered the middle piece to the largest piece with a Dimensional and then added the smaller flower to the middle layer with a Mini Dimensional. I cut a flower centre from scrap Gold Foil and added it with Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive. I covered the petals with Clear Wink of Stella to give a bit of sparkle.
Using my Cut & Emboss Machine I cut 2 small and 1 large holly leaf the Garden Green card. I embossed each leave at the same time, these were added to the wooden circle with a dab of liquid glue.
I die cut a couple of sprigs from scrap Gold Foil card and added them with a dab of glue.
The flower was added over the leaves with a Dimensional.
Using the gold Simply Elegant Trim I added a hanger to the top of bauble.
So pretty. Please hop on to see what my fellow demonstrators have to share with us today.
