A pretty card in shades of green using the Batik Boutique stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Green Batik card

Today I am sharing a green batik pattern card made using the Batik Boutique stamp set and Batik Dies. I love the symmetry of the stamps in this set, so pretty.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pattern batik card, you will need:

Evening Evergreen card – 5⅛” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Basic White card – 2½” by 2”
Evening Evergreen – 2½” by 2

I began by stamping the outline of the flower and stem, from the Batik Boutique stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink randomly all over the 5” by 3⅛” panel of Basic White. The infill image was added in Granny Apple Green ink.  I love these 2 greens together. I added the stitched circle images in Highland Heather ink.

The stamped panel was added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the Evening Evergreen panel. I wrapped a piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon around the panel before adding it to the Granny Apple Green card base using the same liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the Granny Apple Green card front using the same liquid glue.

The sentiment from the Party Puffin stamp set was stamped onto scrap Basic White card in Evening Evergreen ink and was punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. I used the same Tailored Tag punch to cut another tag from scrap Evening Evergreen card.

I cut the Evening Evergreen tag in half and glued the pieces to the back of the sentiment piece and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the same flower and stem image in Evening Evergreen ink onto scrap Granny Apple Green ink. Using the Batik Dies and my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut the stamped image. I tucked the image behind the sentiment using Dimensionals.

Batik Pattern

Today I am sharing a quirky batik pattern card made using the Batik Boutique stamp set and Batik Dies. I love the symmetry of the stamps in this set, so pretty.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pattern batik card, you will need:

Merry Merlot card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Polished Pink card – 5⅛” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner for the inside
Basic White card – 3” by 2”
Merry Merlot – 3” by 2
Polished Pink – 3” by 2
Basic White – ¼” strip

I began by stamping the outline of the larger shape in Merry Merlot ink randomly all over the 5” by 3⅛” panel of Basic White. The infill image was added in Polished Pink ink and the base part was stamped in Pale Papaya ink. Don’t these colours look lovely together? I used the trio of dotted circles, stamped in Merry Merlot ink to fill in some of the white space.

The stamped panel was added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the Polished Pink panel. I wrapped a piece of Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon around the panel before adding it to the Merry Merlot card base using the same liquid glue.

Using the Batik Dies and my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut the solid shape from the small Basic White panel. I then die cut the detailed shape from the Merry Merlot and Polished Pink pieces.

The outline die cut was then glued to the Basic White die cut and the Polished Pink pieces glued into the negative space gaps using the paper-piecing technique. Such a pretty effect. The die cut piece was then added with Dimensionals over top of the ribbon.

The sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach stamp set was stamped onto the Basic White strip in Merry Merlot ink. I flagged the ends with scissors and added it to the card front with liquid glue.

To complete the card, I added a bow using a Mini Glue Dot and made from the same Pale Papaya Ribbon.

I really like the colour combo I have used for this card. I hope you like it.
