Welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge. The colours we have been given are:
To recreate the Let’s Set Sail card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2¼”
Scrap Basic White card
Using the Tailor-Made Tag Dies I cut a tag from the panel of Basic White card. I stamped the long ‘water’ image at the bottom of the tag in 2nd generation Coastal Cabana ink.
The ‘sky’ was added with a Blending Brush and the clouds with a Sponge Dauber and a piece of torn copy paper and Coastal Cabana ink. I added birds to the top of the tag using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped the parts of the sailboat in Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather ink and punched them out with the Sailboat Builder Punch. This gave me pieces for 3 boats. The boat was added on Mini Dimensionals.
The ‘water’ image was stamped at the bottom of the Thick Basic White card front in 3rd and 4th generation Coastal Cabana ink. The birds were stamped again at the top of the card front in the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I added some Pool Party Sheer Ribbon to the top of the tag and a bow made from White Baker’s Twine. The tag was added to the card front on Dimensionals and I added a trio of 2021 – 2023 In Color Jewels to finish the card.
The sentiment, from the Awesome Otters stamp set was stamped in Coastal Cabana ink onto a scrap of Basic White paper and fussy cut out. I added it tucked under the tag.
I really like the card, I hope you like it too.
Please hop on to see what my fellow hoppers have to share with us today.
