Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using something that is about to retire from the 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue which retires at the end of this month. I have chosen to share a project using the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set, one of my favourites and I am so sad to see it go. I have also used 3 of the colours which are also retiring, So Saffron, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the seashells one sheet wonder cards, you will need:
Basic White card – 11¾” by 4⅛”
Co-ordinating card bases x 4 – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Co-ordinating layers cut to 5⅝” by 3⅞” or 5½” by 3¾” or 5⅜” by 3⅝”
I began by stamping the largest image in So Saffron ink and added the second largest in Blushing Bride ink.
Shells stamped in Balmy Blue ink and Petal Pink ink. The little starfishes were added in Fresh Freesia ink.
I added the sea weed in Pear Pizzazz ink and then filled in the blank spaces using the spotty stamp and Pool Party ink.
The completed sheet was then cut into 4 panels, each measuring 5⅞” by 4⅛”. I looked at each panel in turn, deciding whether they would be made into portrait or landscape cards.
I stamped a sentiment on each panel in Basic Gray ink before cutting each panel down to either 5½” by 3¾” or 5¼” by 3½”. These were then glued to the co-ordinating panels using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The panels were then mounted onto a card base on Dimensionals.
Pretty cards, I hope you like them.
Please hop along to sharing the inspiration provided by my stamping friends.
