I have been playing with the Share a Milkshake stamp set and dies to make a pretty card for a friend.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the stripy milkshake card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lost lagoon card – 5⅞” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 1⅞”
Pebbled Path card – 4½” by 3”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 2”
Pebbled Path card – 3” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White and Silver Foil
Taking the long thin pot from the Earthen Textures stamp set and stamped it sideways down the 5⅞” by 1⅞” panel of Basic White card in full strength and 2nd generation Leon Lolly ink to make this really cool texture. I added stripes using the long twiggy stem from one of the stamps from the same stamp set using Pebbled Path ink. I saw this technique in a Youtube video by fellow demonstrator Sarine Zijderveld.
Using the Basic Borders Dies, I die cut a decorated edge into the 5⅞” by 2½” panel of Lost Lagoon card. I stripy piece was then glued to the Lost Lagoon panel before being added to the Thick Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I stamped the milkshake glass onto scrap Basic White card in Lost Lagoon ink and added the solid image in 2nd generation (stamped off) Lost Lagoon. The ice cream scoops were then stamped in Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight inks. All of these images were then die cut using the Share a Milkshake Dies.
Using the Countryside Corner Dies I cut 2 labels from the Pebbled Path and Basic White and adhered them together using the liquid glue. The label was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
I then glued the die cut pieces to the die cut labels and added a spoon die cut from scrap Silver Foil card.
The sentiment, from the Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the thin strip of Pebbled Path card, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I trimmed it down with Scissors and added it to the card front.
A trio of Glossy Dots completed the card.
