Today I am sharing a couple of split image blossom cards made using the fabulous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and Many Layered Blossom dies. Over the past couple of moths I have seen a number of demonstrators making split image cards and thought I would try it myself.
To recreate the Split Image Blossom card you will need:
Merry Merlot card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Calypso Coral – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside
Calypso Coral – 5½” by 5½” – to die cut for both cards
2nd card
Calypso Coral – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Merry Merlot – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside
I laid 2 of the Whisper White panels side by side, inked up the large floral image from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set with Merry Merlot ink and stamped the image across the join of both panels.
The most detailed large floral image was die cut using the Many Layered Blooms dies.
I squeezed some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive onto the corner of my Silicon Mat and dabbed it all over the back of the die cut piece and placed it over the stamped area which were still side by side.
When the adhesive was dry I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the 2 layers apart.
The stamped and die cut panels were added to either a Calypso Coral or a Merry Merlot layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then to the opposite colour card base.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on both card fronts in Merry Merlot ink and the cards were completed with a trio of Holiday Rhinestones.
Aren’t they stunning. I love this idea and will definitely try is again using other stamp sets.
