Snowy Trees – Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me today for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is ‘heat or dry embossing’. If you have hopped over from Melissa Seplowitz,  welcome. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes and I live near Cambridge in the UK. I saw a beautiful card on Pinterest by one of our talented Artisan Design Team Members, Tammy Wilson – I loved it so much I decided to CASE it.

To recreate the Snowy Trees card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Highland Heather – 4⅛” by 3⅛”
Whisper White – 4” by 3”
Silver Foil – 4⅛” by ¼”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside

Using Versamark ink I stamped the in-fill tree image, from the In The Pines stamp set, multiple times onto the smaller Whisper White panels. I covered the stamped trees with White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.

I punched a 1” circle from a piece of Post It tape and stuck it to the small panel of Whisper White card over one of the trees.

Using a piece of Sponge I added Pool Party ink to the bottom of the embossed panel. I moved to Highland Heather ink for the top of the panel and peeled away the mask to reveal the ‘moon’.

I stamped the snow onto the stamped panel in Pool Party ink and glued the stamped panel to the Highland Heather layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The strip of Silver Foil was added roughly in the middle of the stamped piece with liquid glue.

The snow image was stamped in the upper right and lower left corners of the Pool Party card base and the stamped panel added on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the In The Pines stamp set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink and die cut using the Layering Circles dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I backed it with one of the pretty die cut shapes from the Stitched So Sweetly die set. This was added to the card front with liquid glue. To complete the card I added a Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon to the card front on a Mini Glue Dot.

I love my take on Tammy’s pretty card. I hope you like it. Please hop on to see what the talented Wendy Lee has to share with us today
