I have been making Christmas cards today using the cute Be Jolly stamp set and some of my stash of dsp. The paper I used for this card is the Penguin Playmates from the latest Sale-a-Bration offer.
Colours in this project are:
To recreate the Santa’s Sleigh card, you will need:
Fresh Freesia card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Penguin Playmates dsp – 5⅞” by 1⅛”
Penguin Playmates dsp – 4 ½” by 2⅛”
Silver Foil – 5⅞” by ½”
Night of Navy card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – for the inside
I added the long strip of Silver Foil to the long piece of Penguin Playmates dsp with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and used the same glue to stick the piece to the Fresh Freesia card base. I added the smaller piece of dsp using the same glue.
Using the Layering Circle Dies I cut a plain circle from the square of Basic White card and a slightly larger scalloped circle from the Night of Navy card.
The sweet sleigh was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the white circle. I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the image – Fresh Freesia, Just Jade and Night of Navy. Isn’t it adorable? The circle was then glued to the scalloped circle and the whole piece was added to the card front on Dimensionals
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and added a trio of Pastel Pearls to finish the card.
So pretty.
