I love sunflowers, they are such cheerful flowers, so big and showy. I did a bit of google searching and discovered to my surprise that you can get a red sunflower ……..who knew!
To recreate the red sunflower card you will need:
Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Real Red – 4⅜” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 4¼” by 3⅜” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Scrap Daffodil Delight, Real Red & Whisper White
I used the Stamparatus to stamp the large sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set onto the smaller panel of Whisper White. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the stamparatus so that I could re-stamp to get a darker image. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive ink
I used the following Blends Markers to colour in the sunflower and leaves – Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Mango Melody, Old Olive and Soft Suede. I took a Black Stamp ‘n write marker to spritze the panel.
The stamped panel was glued to the Real Red panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I wrapped some of the gorgeous Braided Trim around the panel and added a bow to the top. I added a small strip of Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Whisper White card with the ends flagged to the back of the panel using the liquid glue.
The sentiment was stamped onto the Crumb Cake card base in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Stamparatus again as I wanted the sentiment to be really dark and could stamp it multiple times.
I added the stamped layer to the card base with Dimensionals and added a trio of Holiday Rhinestones to the card front. A little Clear Wink of Stella was added around the flower centre. So pretty.
I hope you like it
