Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where we are showcasing fun techniques. I have chosen the emboss resist technique and used the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and a rainbow of colours.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the rainbow butterflies card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Black card – 3⅞” by
I mounted the Butterfly Brilliance stamp onto one of the pates of my Stamparatus, inked it with Versamark ink and using the Stamparatus, stamped the image onto the panel of Basic White card.
The image was covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set with a Heat Tool.
Using Blending Brushes I added stripes of colour to the embossed panel beginning with Daffodil Delight ink.
Next I added Pumpkin Pie, followed by Poppy Parade, then Granny Apple Green, Pacific Point and finally Gorgeous Grape.
Using a clean tissue, I buffed up each butterfly removing the ink sitting on the surface of each butterfly. Love the effect you get. The inked panel was then glued to the Basic White layer.
Using Versamark ink, I stamped the sentiment, from the Charming Sentiment stamp set, onto the strip of Basic Black card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it.
A strip of Glittered Organdy Ribbon was added behind the sentiment along the bottom. I used Seal + to hold it in place. The sentiment was then added to the rainbow panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The whole panel was then mounted onto the Thick Basic White card front on Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added some Iridescent Pearls to each side of the sentiment.
Please hop over to share the fun techniques showcased by my crafty friends.

Beautiful butterfly card. I love using blending brushes. Did you use the standard or mini brushes? Great technique!
I used the larger blending brushes Leonie, mostly because I was covering a larger area x
