Hello and welcome to the Winter Holiday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects based around any of the holidays which fall in the next couple of months with the exception of Christmas. I have chosen to make a card for Remembrance Day on the 11th November which I have sent to my son who is an officer in the British Army.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the poppy for remembrance card, you will need:
Evening Evergreen card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Sweet Sorbet card – 4¼” by 2”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 2”
Basic White card – 1½” by 1”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
I stamped the largest flower in Evening Evergreen ink onto the Evening Evergreen card base.
The poppy was stamped in Evening Evergreen onto the smaller panel of Basic White card which was then die cut out using the Tailor-Made Tag Dies. I die cut the same tag from the Sweet Sorbet panel.
The following Blends Pens were used to colour in the image – Sweet Sorbet and Evening Evergreen. The 2 tags were then glue together slightly off-set with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
I stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink onto the strip of Basic White card and added it to the side of the tags. The whole piece was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.
I pushed some Real Red Ribbon through the hole in the tag and tied it together with a white Baker’s Twine bow. A trio of Real Red Rhinestones completed the car.
Please hop on to share the inspiration provided by my friends.
