Plant in the Window card

Here is a pretty plant in a window card made using the Perfect Plants stamp set, Perfect Plants Dies together with the Window Dies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the plant in a window card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅝” by 3⅞
Sun Prints dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Black card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 3 ½” by 2 ¼”
Design A Daydream dsp – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Garden Green card

Using the Window dies, I cut the window from the piece of Sun Prints dsp. I then ran the negative dsp piece through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I glued the piece of Design A Daydream dsp  in position behind the negative space of the window aperture. The embossed Sun Prints dsp was then glued to the larger Basic Black panel.

I die cut the same window shape from the smaller piece of Basic Black card. This was inserted into the negative space using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The struts for the window were die cut from the small panel of Basic White card and added into the negative space.

Using an image from the Perfect Plants I stamped the pot in Cajun Craze ink. I die cut the plant using the Perfect Plants Dies and die cut the plant from scrap Garden Green card. These were then added inside the window frame. The whole panel was added to the Gray Granite card front using Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Plentiful Plants stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Cajun Craze ink. I masked off the part of the sentiment I didn’t want to use using a Post It Note. I trimmed it down and added it to the card front.

A Brushed Brass Butterfly completed the card.
