The Waves of Inspiration stamp set by Stampin' Up! used for the Crafty Collaborations Waves of Inspiration Blog Hop

Marbleous Waves card for the Crafty Collaborations Waves of the Ocean Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Waves of the Ocean Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects made using gorgeous this early release bundle. I have come up with a marbleous waves birthday card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the marbleous waves card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Simply Marbleous dsp – 5½” by 3”
Silver Foil – 5½” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 2⅛” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White card

I punched a 1” Circle from a Post It Note and placed it onto the panel of Basic White card. Using Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue ink to the panel, leaving it lighter in the centre. I added Night of Navy ink to add depth to the top of the panel.

I used the co-ordinating Wave Dies; I die cut one of the detailed waves from the piece of Silver Foil. It was added over the fussy cut wave image using liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the blended panel on Dimensionals. The whole panel was mounted onto the Thick Basic White card base with Liquid Glue.

The pelican on the post was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the scrap Basic White card. It was die cut using the Wave Dies. I then trimmed around the posts as I didn’t want the thin white edge. I coloured in the image using the following Blends – Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink. It was added to the edge of the card using Dimensionals.

The pelican on the posts was stamped in Soft Suede ink and coloured using Crumb Cake and So Saffron Blends Markers. I die cut it out using the co-ordinating Wave Dies and added it, on Dimensionals to the stamped panel. The whole piece was then added to the card front, taking care to add ink only to the left-hand side. The top of the stamped panel then tucked under the latch.

I stamped the poles with and without birds three more times on scrap Basic White and cut them out to add inside the card.

The sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set was stamped inside the card in Misty Moonlight ink.

My son loves the sea and I am sure he will enjoy this card.

Dog Charity Event card

I designed this card as a make and take for a friend’s charity coffee morning. The event was for a dog charity so the Dog Punch was the perfect starting point. Unfortunately, due t storm Eunice I wasn’t able to get to the event…………

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the dog charity card, you will need:

Basic White card – 4⅛” by 3¼”
Soft Suede card – 4⅛” by ⅜” x 2

The dog was punched out using the Dog Punch and added to the card front on Dimensionals. I provided scrap brown, black and yellow card stock for punching. I also brought along a selection of sentiments for the ladies to choose from.
