Places in my Heart Baby card

I have been making a sweet baby card using the Places in my Heart stamp set for a friend who is about to become grandmother to a sweet baby girl.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the places in my heart card, you will need:

Blushing Bride card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Fitting Florets dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Fitting Florets dsp

I stamped the adorable image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the 4” by 3” panel of Basic White card. The same image was stamped again, using the same ink, onto two pieces of Fitting Florets dsp, one pink and one blue.

The ladies’ top was fussy cut from the Balmy Blue pattern of the Fitting Florets dsp and the Babygro from the Blushing Bride pattern. These were then glued to the stamped image. I used one of the oval dies from the Framed Florets Dies to cut out the entire image.

I used the following Blends Alcohol Pens to colour in the rest of the image – Petal Pink, So Saffron and some of the Natural Collection.

The same set of dies were used to cut the oval heart border from the Piece of dsp and the piece was then glued to the Basic White card panel. I wrapped a length of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the panel before adhering it down to the Blushing Bride card front.

The decorated oval was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals and a bow of the same ribbon added with a Mini Glue Dot. I added 3 of the hearts from the die cut oval to the card front.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Layering Circle Dies. It was added to the card front on a Dimensional.

Isn’t the card sweet?
