Loveliest Tree card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have a roll of a dice to inspire us today. The roll gives us – pearl, colouring, In Colors, sympathy and standard horizontal and I have used the new Loveliest Tree stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the loveliest tree card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛
Pebbled Path card – 4⅜” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 4¼”
Boho Blue card – 3¼” by 1”
Moody Mauve card – 3¼” by 1”
Wild Wheat card – 3¼” by 1”
Copper Clay card – 3¼” by 1”
Scrap Basic White & Pebbled Path card

I decided to use the 2023 – 2025 In Colors to make my card, they seemed more appropriate for a sympathy card. I added a little removable adhesive to the back of each 1” strip of in color card and lined them up on a sheet of grid paper butted up against each other.

Using a stamp positioner, I stamped the large tree image in Pebbled Path ink across all 4 strips of card. I made sure that my ink pad was freshly inked and repeated this step a couple of times to get the required depth of colour.

The strips were then lifted and placed onto the 3⅜” by 4¼” leaving a small border around the edge. The whole panel was then adhered to the Pebbled Path panel, then the whole piece was adhered to the Thick Basic White card front.

The sentiment, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped in Pebbled Path ink onto scrap Basic White card. I die cut it using a label die from the Autumn Leaves Dies. I die cut it twice to make the label smaller. I then adhered the sentiment to a scrap of Pebbled Path card which was then trimmed to fit. I added it to the card front with liquid adhesive and a Dimensional.

Using a Boho Blue Blends Pen I coloured a trio of Iridescent Pearls and added them to the card front.

I got to this point before I realised that I had missed out the colouring element……. Ooops! I hope you’ll forgive me.

Lavender Farm in Tuscany – Share it Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on recently. I can’t get enough of the Hills of Tuscany stamp set and have used it to make a lavender farm themed card.

Colours used in the lavender farm in Tuscany card are:

To recreate the lavender farm in Tuscany card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Mossy Meadow card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I began by stamping the farmhouse in Moody Mauve ink onto the 5” by 3 ¼” panel of Basic White card and added the roof with Copper Clay ink. Using a Basic Black Stamp ‘n Write marker I inked around the left side of each window.

With the house in place I stamped the ground in 2^nd generation Old Olive ink and added detail in full strength Old Olive.

Next, I stamped the sky in 2^nd generation Balmy Blue ink and added the sun in Lemon Lolly. The trees were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.

Using the direct to cardstock technique, I swiped the edge of the Crumb Cake ink pad across the bottom of panel, I did this repeatedly to give the impression of soil.

Using the dotty image I stamped in the rows of lavender stems in Old Olive ink making them narrower at the top by the farmhouse and wider near the bottom to give some perspective. The same stamp was used with Gorgeous Grape ink to give the impression of flowers.

The inked panel was glued to the Mossy Meadow panel and then added it to the Crumb Cake card case on Dimensionals.

Merriest Trees cards – Christmas Stampathon

Today, I am sharing the cards made for the April Christmas Stampathon where we have a sketch to inspire us. Using the sketch, we are asked to make multiple Christmas cards to add to our stash, ready for Christmas. I have used the Merriest Trees stamp set and Dies to make my cards.

To recreate the Merriest Trees cards, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Winter Meadow dsp – 5” by 1” x 3
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The trio of Winter Meadow dsp strips were glued to the – 5⅛” by 3⅜” panel of Basic White card, leaving a small border around each piece. The panel was then glued to the Pretty Peacock card base.

The large tree was stamped onto scrap Basic White card using Lost Lagoon ink. The more detailed tree was then stamped on top in Pretty Peacock ink.

The tree was the die cut using the 4-tier die. I added the die cut tree to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Ringed with Nature stamp set in Pretty peacock ink ont scrap Basic White card and trimmed it down before flagging the end and adding it to the card front

A trio of silver stars were die cut from Silver Foil using the Merriest Trees Dies. These were added to the card front to complete the card.

Hummingbird card – Ink& Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we are being inspired to create by a pretty colour challenge. The inspiration picture featured a hummingbird and I loooove a hummingbird, with that in mind I made my card using the hummingbird from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set.

To recreate the hummingbird card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Scrap Basic White card

Using a Blending Brush, I lightly added Starry Sky ink to the centre of the 5⅛” by 3⅜” panel of Basic White card. This was then adhered to the Starry Sky layer and then to the Thick Basic White card front.

The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink onto the card front.

The hummingbird was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Basic White card. I coloured it with the following Blends Pens – Daffodil Delight, Petunia Pop, Berry Burst and Pretty Peacock. I added the colour really lightly and used the Color Lifter to remove some of the colour and blur the edges.

The double flower was stamped with the same Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured using the Daffodil Delight, Petunia Pop, Berry Burst and Shy Shamrock Blends Pens.

The coloured images were die cut using the Thoughtful Expressions Dies. The images were then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Trio of Balloons card

Here is a card featuring a trio of hot air balloons die cut from the gorgeous Lighter Than Air dsp and the Hot Air Balloon Dies.

Colours found in this card are:

To recreate the trio of balloons card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lighter Than Air dsp
Scrap Basic White

Using Post It tape I masked off a 1½” strip on the Thick Basic White card front. A Blending Brush was used to apply Balmy Blue ink in the negative space on the card front.

With the Post It mask still in place I stamped the ‘ground’ image from the In The Grove stamp set across the bottom in Gray Granite ink. The masking strips were then peeled off.

I stamped the pine tree from the Encircled in Nature stamp set was stamped in Shaded Spruce, full strength and 2^nd generation.

From the Lighter Than Air dsp I die cut a selection of Hot Air Balloons and balloon baskets. These were added to the card front on either Dimensionals or with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The sentiment, from the Encircled in Nature stamp set was stamped in Gray Granite ink onto the Thick Basic White card front. Sadly, I stamped it squint…….. so I stamped it again in Gray Granite ink onto scrap Basic White card and glued it over the mistake!

The card I am sharing today is made with the pretty new stamp set called Country Flowers, available from the 1^st May 2024 in the new annual catalogue.

To recreate the country flowers card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh As A Daisy dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card and Fresh As A Daisy dsp

Using Balmy Blue ink, I stamped the leafy spray in the upper left and lower right corners of the Balmy Blue card front.

I flagged the end of the 5⅞” by 2” piece of Fresh as a Daisy dsp and glued it down the centre of the card front.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to the centre of the 4¼” by 3” panel of Basic White card. I stamped the ‘ground’ image from the Trucking Along stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added the sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set, in Balmy Blue ink below. The panel was then glued to the card front.

The image of the teapot was stamped onto a scrap of Fresh As A Daisy dsp using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The leafy spray was stamped on scrap Basic White card with the same ink. Both pieces were then die cut using the Country Flowers Dies.

The leaves were coloured with the Granny Apple Green Blend Pens. I mounted the teapot and leaves onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Row of Coffee Cups – Stamping with Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are saying goodbye to the 2022 – 2024 In Colors which will retire in 10days. These bright, vibrant colours have been fun to use and I will miss them, particularly Parakeet Party! I have used the Latte Love stamp set and dies to make my card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the row of coffee cups card, you will need:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 2⅛”
Parakeet Party card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Tahitian Tide card – 5⅞” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky & Pecan Pie

From scraps of cardstock, I die cut a mini coffee cup in Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. I also die cut the little coffee pieces for the top of the cups from scrap Pecan Pie card.

I placed the cups on the 5⅞” by 2⅛” panel of Basic White card. I moved them around until I was happy with the layout. Each cup was then lifted up and the ‘coffee splatter’ image was stamped in the co-ordinating colour. I used 2^nd generation ink. Each cup was then added on a Dimensional.

The sentiment was stamped in Starry Sky ink above the cups.

Using the Basic Borders Dies, I die cut a decorative edge from the strips of Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide card. These were then glued to the bottom of the stamped panel.

The whole piece was then glued to the Starry Sky card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I used the co-ordinating Blends Pens to colour in the Classic Matte Dots, one for each colour. These were then added to the card front.

Coffee Anyone?

Today I am sharing a thank you card featuring a mug of coffee made using the Latte Love stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the coffee anyone card, you will need:

Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Stargazing dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 3½” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – For the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The panel of Stargazing dsp was adhered to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” panel of Basic White card. A length of White Diagonal Trim was wrapped around the panel before it was adhered to the Pretty Peacock card base.

The coffee mug, from the Latte Love stamp set, was stamped onto scrap Basic White card with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I die cut it out using the Latte Love Dies.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the mug – Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and the Color Lifter.

From the square of Basic White card, I die cut a Deckled Circle. A Smoky Slate Blends Pen added some colour to ground the mug before it was glued down to the circle. The circle was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Masked Beauty card – Magic of Masks Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Magic of Masks Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using masks or stencils. I am loving both the Enduring Beauty and new Layers of Beauty stamp sets, dies and masks and couldn’t resist using the new Layers of Beauty bundle to make my masked beauty anniversary card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the masked beauty card, you will need:

Highland Heather card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Bright & Beautiful dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the Bright & Beautiful dsp to the 5⅝” by 3⅞” panel of Basic White card. This was then glued to the Highland Heather card front. I stamped the sentiment onto the card front using Gorgeous Grape ink.

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped the large floral image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I placed the masks, which are helpfully numbered, one at a time on top of the stamped image. Using Blending Brushes, I added Lemon Lolly to the roses and Highland Heather to the small daisies. Each mask added another layer of colour to the flowers.

The leaves were then inked in with Garden Green ink. I love how the colour and texture builds when you use the masks, so pretty. The inked image was then die cut using the Layers of Beauty Dies. The whole piece was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Hot Air Birthday card

Today I am sharing a clean and simple card made for my niece’s birthday tomorrow. I have used the lovely Hot Air Balloon stamp set and co-ordinating Dies.

To recreate the hot air birthday card, you will need:

Lemon Lolly card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Misty Moonlight card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5 ¼” by 3 ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Lemon Lolly card

From scrap Basic White card I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Using the negative space as a mask, I inked the circle in with Misty Moonlight ink.

The large balloon from the Hot Air Balloon stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I made sure to overlap the inked circle.

I glued the decorated panel to the Misty Moonlight panel and glued the whole piece to the Lemon Lolly card front.

The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink onto scrap Lemon Lolly card. It was die cut using the Hot Air Balloon Dies. I mounted it onto the balloon on Dimensionals.
