CASE from Pinterest

Welcome to the April Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where our theme is ‘CASE from Pinterest’. If you have joined me from Annette welcome, I am sure you enjoyed her lovely project.

I have chosen to CASE (copy and selectively edit) a card made by the very talented Su Mohr using the Poppy Moments dies. I hope you and she like it.

To recreate the CASE from Pinterest card you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Flirty Flamingo – 5½” by 3¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 3
Scrap Whisper White, Soft Sea Foam & Soft Suede

I began by taking the ‘smudge’ stamp, inking it up with Flirty Flamingo ink and stamping it randomly across one of the Whisper White panels. This step was repeated using So Saffron ink and Petal Pink ink until the whole layer was covered in ink.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk -A pretty multicoloured poppy card made using the Peaceful Poppies and Poppy Moments dies

Using the Poppy Moments dies I die cut the detailed flower from the stamped panel. I die cut the same image and the full blank flower from Whisper White card stock. I mounted the White die cut flower outline onto the White flower blank with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and carefully fitted in the inked die cut pieces. Doesn’t the flower look fab……..I love  bit of paper piecing.

Old Olive 1” by 3 ½”
Whisper White ¾” by 3½”

I inked up the gorgeous, large blossom image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it randomly on the smaller Whisper White panel.

The image was coloured in using the following Blends Markers – open flowers in dark Daffodil Delight and light So Saffron. Buds using dark Daffodil Delight and dark So Saffron. The leaves and stems were coloured in using the Old Olive Combo. I added the dots around the flower centres with the dark Basic Black marker. Using a small paintbrush I flicked on some Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint onto the stamped panel.

The panel was then added to the Basic Black panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive then to the Old Olive card base.

The sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink onto the strip of  Whisper White card stock and glued to the Old Olive strip. I added Tear n Tape to the back of the sentiment panel and added strips of Scalloped Lace Ribbon to the top and bottom.

The sentiment piece was then added to the stamped panel using the Dimensionals and a trio of Basic Pearls, coloured with the dark So Saffron Blends Marker were added to the sentiment strip to complete the card.
