Oh my goodness I can’t get enough of these cute Zany Zebras and this naughty zebra is surrounded by zany bubbles.
To recreate the zany bubbles card you will need:
Highland Heather card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner Basic Black – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – rounded upper right corner Whisper White – 4⅝” by 2⅞” – rounded upper right corner Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner Scrap Basic Black and Whisper White
I began by stamping the the adorable zebra onto the smallest panel of Whisper White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, love him kicking up his heels. I created a mask by stamping the image again on a Post It Note, fussy cutting it out and sticking it over the original stamped image.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A childs zany bubbles birthday card made using the Zany Zebras stamp set
Using the smaller bokeh image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set to add the bubbles around the zebra. Colours used were Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue,Mango Melody and Magenta Madness. I used 1st, 2nd and even 3rd generation stamping to add extra dimension.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A childs zany bubbles birthday card made using the Zany Zebras stamp set
I removed the mask and stamped the ‘ground’ image from the Zany Zebra stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that the poor zebra isn’t hovering in mid air.
I glued the stamped layer to the Basic Black layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and set it aside.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A childs zany bubbles birthday card made using the Zany Zebras stamp set
Using the same bokeh image I stamped around the the left side and the top of the Highland Heather card base using Highland Heather ink. The stamped panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A childs zany bubbles birthday card made using the Zany Zebras stamp set
The sentiment from the Zany Zebras stamp set was stamped in Highland Heather ink onto scrap Whisper White and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I punched another label from scrap Basic Black and offset it behind the sentiment and added it to the card front with adhesive.

This Parisian lovely you card began with a desire to use the embossed Petal Pink panel left over from another project. I paired it with the Lovely You stamp set for this soft, pretty feminine card.
To recreate the Parisian Lovely You card you will need:
Thick Whisper White – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner Petal Pink – 8¼” by 5⅞” – embossed and cut diagonally to give 2 pieces Brass Foil – 5” by ¼” Whisper White – 4” by ¾” Scrap Whisper White
Using a pencil I drew a line along the edge of the embossed piece onto the Thick Whisper White card base.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty Parisian Lovely floral card made using the Lovely Yu stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
I stamped the images from the Lovely You stamp set, starting with the largest and over lapping the pencil line. I used Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Petal Pink, So Saffron & Flirty Flamingo ink to stamp the images.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty Parisian Lovely floral card made using the Lovely Yu stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I added the Brass Foil strip to the top of the embossed Petal Pink layer and added it to the card front using the same glue.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty Parisian Lovely floral card made using the Lovely Yu stamp set by Stampin’ Up!

Today I am sharing a couple of split image blossom cards made using the fabulous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and Many Layered Blossom dies. Over the past couple of moths I have seen a number of demonstrators making split image cards and thought I would try it myself.
To recreate the Split Image Blossom card you will need:
Merry Merlot card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner Calypso Coral – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside Calypso Coral – 5½” by 5½” – to die cut for both cards
2nd card
Calypso Coral – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner Merry Merlot – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – one for the inside
I laid 2 of the Whisper White panels side by side, inked up the large floral image from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set with Merry Merlot ink and stamped the image across the join of both panels.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Two split image blossom cards made using the fabulous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
The most detailed large floral image was die cut using the Many Layered Blooms dies.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Two split image blossom cards made using the fabulous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
I squeezed some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive onto the corner of my Silicon Mat and dabbed it all over the back of the die cut piece and placed it over the stamped area which were still side by side.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Two split image blossom cards made using the fabulous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
When the adhesive was dry I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the 2 layers apart.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Two split image blossom cards made using the fabulous Blossoms in Bloom stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
The stamped and die cut panels were added to either a Calypso Coral or a Merry Merlot layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and then to the opposite colour card base.

Hello and welcome to the Joy of Sets blog hop where our theme is ‘Christmas in July’. You can never start too early when making your Christmas cards and for the hop I have chosen to use the lovely Peaceful Boughs stamp set and Beautiful Boughs Dies to make my card.
To recreate the Christmas in July card you will need;
Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower left corner Shaded Spruce – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded lower left corner Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – Rounded lower left corner Whisper White 4” by 3” Scrap Gold Foil

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty Christmas in July card made using the lovely Peaceful Boughs stamp set
I then stamped both the bough images across the top of the Whisper White panel and the oval in Shaded Spruce ink.
The oval was then removed and the boughs were stamped down the sides of the panel. I randomly added the dotty stamp in Pool Party ink.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A pretty Christmas in July card made using the lovely Peaceful Boughs stamp set
