Male Whale card for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop where we are sharing ‘male cards’, I have made a male whale card using the Whale Done stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Male Whale card, you will need:

Balmy Bay card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3⅞” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Pacific Point – 4½” by 3”
Misty Moonlight – 4½” by 3¼”
So Saffron – 4½” by 3”
Balmy Blue – 4½” by 3”
Scrap Basic White

Taking the smaller Basic White panel, I added Balmy Blue ink using a Blending Brush.

I inked up the ‘seaweed’ image from the Whale Done stamp set using Pretty Peacock on the bottom and Just Jade ink I stamped down on the blended area. I stamped this multiple times in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation ink and at different levels.

The shoals of fish were added using So Saffron ink. The panel was then added onto one of the large Basic White panels using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive – roughly in the centre

I took the four panels of card stock measuring 4½” by 3” and cut them into thin strips, wider at one end than the other. Taking the strips, I added them to the 5¼” by 3½” layer of Basic White using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive leaving a small strip of white visible between the strips. I trimmed off any excess when the whole panel was covered.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut a scalloped rectangle from the centre. I cut the largest scalloped rectangle from the same die set from the panel of Misty Moonlight and used my Paper Trimmer to cut out the centre. This was added to the panel with liquid glue.

The die cut panel was then adhered, using Dimensionals over the stamped panel leaving a small white border. The panel was then added to the Balmy Blue card base using the liquid glue.

I inked up the Whale image using Balmy Blue ink then added Misty Moonlight to the top of the whale using the ink pad. This was stamped onto scrap Basic White card and punched out using the Whale Builder Punch. I added Dimensionals to the body and liquid glue to the head and added it to the card front. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the whale to give him a watery look.

The sentiment from the Art Gallery stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Misty Moonlight ink before being added with liquid glue to the card front.

Pearl Pink Shells

Today I am sharing a gorgeous pearl pink shells thank you card made using the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and the Seaside Seashells Dies

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pearl pink shells card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Gray Granite – 5¾” by 4”
Petal Pink – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Scrap Basic White

This is such a simple card to make. I started by filling a Stampin’ Spritzer bottle with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and added a pea sized blob of Frost White Shimmer Paint. After shaking it well I sprayed the Petal Pink card layer all over and set it aside to dry. The shimmer is stunning.

When the Petal Pink panel was dry. I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Seaside Seashell dies.

The die cut piece was then positioned in the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder and run through the Stampin’ Up! Cut & Emboss Machine again. The texture is amazing.
