Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop where we are share home décor projects. I am sharing an oceanfront picture made using the gorgeous Oceanfront stamp set, can’t seem to stop using this versatile stamp set, I just love it.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the oceanfront picture, you will need:
Balmy Blue card – 6” by 4” with the inside cut out to give a ½” frame all the way around
Basic White card – 6” by 4”
Picture Frame – 6” by 4” – mine came from Tesco’s
I punched a ¾” circle from a Post It Note and placed it towards the top of the Basic White panel. The sky was then stamped overtop with Balmy Blue ink. It came up quite dark as I had just re-inked the inkpad but I quite liked it. I think it gives the picture a moodier look.
The water was stamped below the sky using Pool Party ink.
I added the ground and boulders using 1st and 2nd generation Crumb Cake ink and used the dotty stamp to add more texture.
The reeds were added in Garden Green ink and the grasses in Soft Suede. The birds in flight were stamped in Basic Gray ink.
The Balmy Blue frame was placed onto the glass front of the picture frame and the stamped image added behind. The back panel was then secured in position.
I love it, hope you like it too.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Please hop on to share the inspiration provided by my friends
