Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing ‘Anything But a Card’. I like to give the ladies who come to my monthly class a little treat and these little, no glue treat holders – made to hold 2 Merci chocolates – were made for my April class attendees. I was inspired by a YouTube video made by The Paper Pixie.
Colours used in this project are:
To recreate the no glue, treat holder, you will need:
DSP – 4⅝” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White & Gorgeous Grape
Using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored the dsp using the thicker end of the stylus. I find if I use the thinner end on dsp I often tear the paper.
I scored on the short side at – ¾”, 1½”, 2¼” and 3” and on the long side at ¾” and 3⅞”.
As per the template above, I scored on the diagonal the 4 inner squares on either end, using the stylus from the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
Using a Bone Folder and folded and burnished all the straight score lines, then using my fingers folded down the diagonal score lines.
Two Merci chocolates were placed on the centre panel and the sides folded up and the ends closed.
The sentiment, from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set, was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut using the Hydrangea Dies. The small labels were then added to the box with a little Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
A small flower, die cut from scrap Gorgeous Grape card, was added with a Mini Glue Dot to complete the boxes.
So sweet. I hope you like them.
Please hop along to see what inspiration my stamping friends have to share with us today.
