I love a stamp set that can be used for many different occasions and the Yuletide Village stamp set is overtly Winter/Christmas themed, but I have used it to make a new home card.
Colours in this card are:
To recreate the new home card, you will need:
Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Thoughtful Journey dsp – 5¼”by 3½”
Basic Black card – 3⅛” by 2½” – All 4 corners rounded
Basic White card – 3½” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic Black card
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the panel of Thoughtful Journey dsp to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” piece of Basic White card and then glued it to the Old Olive card front.
I used the Nested Essentials Dies to cut a stitched rectangle from the 3½” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card.
The house was stamped with Pebbled Path ink onto the die cut rectangle. The bare tree and the wall was stamped using the same ink. Using a Blending Brush I lightly added Boho Blue to the sky and Old Olive to the ground.
The following Blends Pens were used to colour in the image – Poppy Parade, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Old Olive, Copper Clay, Pebbled Path and Wild Wheat. The coloured rectangle was added to the Basic Black layer. I then mounted it onto the card front on Dimensionals.
I used washi tape from my stash to mask off the words I didn’t need from the sentiment I had chosen from the Snowy Wonder stamp set. I inked the word NEW with Versamark ink and stamped it onto scrap Basic Black card. I stamped ‘house’ from the Humble Home stamp set with the same ink onto the scrap card. I covered the piece was White Embossing Powder and heat set it. The words were then fussy cut and added to the card front.
A trio of 2023 – 2025 In Color Dots finished the card.
