Multicoloured World card for the New Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the New Catalogue Blog Hop where we are sharing some inspiration using product from the January – April 2023 Mini Catalog. I have chosen to share a card made using the stunning Watercolor World stamp.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the multicoloured world card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I mounted the large stamp onto a Stamparatus Plate and began inking it up.

The ink was added to each area using Sponge Daubers beginning with Crushed Curry over Africa. I stamped each colour down onto the smaller panel of Basic White card then cleaned the image with the Stampin’ Shammy before adding the next.

I tried to overlap each band of colours to blur the edges and some colours were stamped two or three times. Using a Blending Brush, I added Pool Party ink around the sides of the stamped panel.

When the image had been fully stamped, I lined up the letters from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies to spell HELLO, secured them in place with Post It Notes and ran the panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. The stamped panel was then glued to the Basic Black layer and then to the Pool Party card base.

I ran each letter through the die cutting machine another three times with scrap Basic White card to give a total of 4 copies of each of the letters.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I glued each letter together, one on top of the other to form a stack finishing with the inked letter. These were then glued into the negative spaces.
