Today I am sharing the card made for my son’s birthday using the gorgeous Mountain Air stamp set and the co-ordinating Majestic Mountains dies.
To recreate the Mountain Air card you will need:
Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Garden Green – 5½” by 3¾”
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
Scrap Basic Black and Whisper White
Taking one of the Whisper White panels, I stamped the detailed mountains with Soft Suede ink. I cleaned the stamp using the Shammy, turned it over, placed it back on the block and stamped the solid mountains in Gray Granite ink.
I stamped the detailed trees in Garden Green ink below the mountains. The stamp was cleaned, reversed, inked up in the same ink, stamped off and then stamped onto the stamped panel in 2nd and 3rd generation ink.
I turned the tree stamp upside down and stamped the detailed side in Balmy Blue ink and the solid image in 2nd and 3rd generation Balmy Blue ink to give the appearance of water.
The sun was stamped in Sahara Sand (detailed image) and So Saffron ink on the reverse. The birds were added in Soft Suede ink.
Taking a Sponge I added Balmy Blue to the sky with a halo of So Saffron around the sun and a little of the yellow between the mountains. The stamped panel was added with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to the Garden Green layer then to the card front on Dimensionals.
The sentiment from the Clubhouse stamp set was stamped on scrap Whisper White in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed out with scissors. The trees were die cut using the Majestic Mountains dies and added to the card front with the liquid glue.
I hope he likes it.
