Hello and welcome to the Hopping Around the World Blog Hop where our theme is Sale-a-Bration and I have chosen to use the beautiful Lovely Lily Pad stamp set which has reversible images. I love Sale-a-Bration such a great time of year and such great free goodies. What is not to love. If you have joined me from Jennifer Downey, welcome and I am sure you loved her project.
To recreate the Lovely Lily Pad card you will need:
Blackberry Bliss card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Whisper White – 5¾” by 4”
Whisper White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Flirty Flamingo – 3” by 3”
Whisper White – 3” by 3”
Lily Impressions dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
I took the piece of Lily Impressions designer series paper and measured 2¾” down the right hand side and marked it with a pencil. I then used my Paper Trimmer to to cut straight down 2” from the pencil make. I used the trimmer to cut from both corners to the 2” cut point. The panel was then glued to the larger Whisper White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, twice in Blackberry Bliss ink.
The gorgeous lily flower was stamped in. Blackberry Bliss ink onto the square of Whisper White. I cleaned the image and flipped the stamp over to the back, inked it up with the Flirty Flamingo ink. I stamped off the first layer of ink and used the 2nd generation to add colour to the inside of the flower.
I die cut the image using the Layering Circle dies and also cut a slightly larger scalloped circle from the Flirty Flamingo square. I adhered the 2 circles together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
The small lily flower was stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink onto the card front and added the larger flower on top using Dimensionals.
I added some gorgeous Woven Threads Sequins to complete the card.
