Today I am sharing the cards made using the gorgeous Frosted Forest stamp set, dies and masks for my September Classes.
Colours used in these cards are:
Happy Birthday card
Cherry Cobbler card – 8¾” by 4⅛”– scored at 5⅞”
Pecan Pie – 4⅝” by 3⅛”
Basic White – 4½” by 3”
Basic White – 3” by ¾”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾”
We stamped the small Christmas Tree in the upper left and lower right corners of the Cherry Cobbler card front and set it aside.
Using Pecan Pie ink, we stamped the largest tree on the 4½” by 3” piece of Basic White card.
We placed the 1st mask over the stamped image and inked in the negative space with Pecan Pie ink and a Blending Brush. With the 2nd mask in position, we inked down the centre with Shy Shamrock, then Cajan Craze and finally Cherry Cobbler. Through the 3rd mask we added Versark ink with a sponge dauber. The mask was removed, and the panel covered with Gold Embossing Powder which we heat set. The decorated panel was then glued to the Pecan Pie layer and then mounted it onto the card front on Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped with Pecan Pie ink onto the strip of Basic White card. Trimmed it down and added it to the card front, tucked under the raised panel.
Christmas Tree card
Pretty Peacock card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Shy Shamrock – 4⅛” by 3⅛”
Basic White – 4” by 3”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White – 2½” by ¾”
We stamped the small Christmas Tree in the upper left and lower right corners of the Pretty Peacock card front and set it aside.
We placed mask A onto the 4” by 3” piece of Basic White card and used a Blending Brush to add Shy Shamrock ink. With mask B we added Garden Green ink and finally Pretty Peacock with mask C.
We ran the stamped panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel was then glued to the Shy Shamrock panel and mounted on the card front.
The sentiment came from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. We masked off the ‘and a happy New Year using some washi tape from my stash and inked up the ‘Merry Christmas’ with Pretty Peacock ink. The sentiment was stamped onto the strip of Basic White card. We trimmed it down before adding it to the card front.
Bare Trees card
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Pretty Peacock – 4⅛” by 3¾”
Prior to class I died cut a large circle, using the Stylish Shapes Dies from a panel of Basic White card, large enough to cover a card front. We used this as a mask.
The mask was placed onto the panel of Basic White card. Using a Blending Brush we added Garden Green ink to the bottom third of the circle and Shy Shamrock to the upper 2 thirds of the circle.
From the panel of Pretty Peacock card, we die cut the trio of bare trees and added them to the inked panel with glue.
The sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink. The panel was mounted onto the Thick Basic White card front.
The ladies who came to class loved these cards.
