Frosted Forest Autumnal Swap Cards – Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I am sharing the frosted forest Autumnal swaps I designed for our recent training session in Lincoln.

Colours in these cards are:

To recreate the frosted forest Autumnal swaps, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Cherry Cobbler card – 5⅞” by 2”
Pecan Pie card – 5⅞” by ⅛”
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”

I embossed the panel of Cherry Cobbler card using one of the folders from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders selection. This was then glued to the Thick Basic White card front.

The thin strip of Pecan Pie card was then glued in place butted up against the embossed panel.

Using the Countryside Corner Dies I die cut a label from the 5” by 3 ½” piece of Basic White card. The large tree image was inked up with Copper Clay ink and stamped it onto the die cut label.

I placed the 1st mask in position and added Pecan Pie ink using a Sponge Dauber. With the 2nd mask in position, I randomly added Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler ink to the image.

With the 3rd mask, I started by adding Copper Enamel Effects using a Palette Knife. I absolutely loved the effect but doing more than 2 or 3 at a time became a pain as the enamel effects started to dry on the mask and became more difficult to clean. So, after a bit of thought I switched plans and started adding Versamark ink with a sponge dauber. I removed the mask, covered the image with Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it.

The tree was grounded using an image from the Garden Meadow stamp set and Old Olive ink.

The sentiment was stamped in Copper Clay ink onto the card front and the die cut label was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
