Faux Silk Roses card

I have used the Flowers of Beauty stamp set and the faux silk technique to make a pretty thank you card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the flowers of beauty card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Petunia Pop card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
White Tissue Paper – 5 ¾” by 4”
Petunia Pop card – 4¼” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 4” by 2”

Using the outline large flower image, I stamped randomly over the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card. The infill flower image was stamped inside each outline with Pretty In Pink ink.

I covered the whole front of the panel with glue, using a Pritt Stick.

The piece of white tissue paper was tightly screwed up, opened up but not smoothed out and stuck over the glued panel. The wrinkles were then pressed down into the glue. The edges of the tissue paper were then folded to the back of the panel and glued in place. The whole piece was the glued to the Petunia Pop panel.

Using a dark Petunia Pop Blends Pen, I coloured a length of White Diagonal Striped ribbon. After it dried, I cut a piece and wrapped it around, securing it on the reverse with Sellotape. The panel was then glued to the Thick Basic White card front.

I die cut labels from the small pieces of Basic White and Petunia Pop card using the Nested Essentials Dies. The larger Petunia Pop label was slipped under the ribbon and glued in place.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set onto the smaller label with Petunia Pop ink. This was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
