Embossed Fragrant Forest card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects featuring dry embossing.  This is such a fab technique and adds so much to any project. I used the beautiful Fragrant Forest background stamp and the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder to make my card.

Colours in the embossed fragrant forest cards are:

To recreate the embossed fragrant forest card you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3⅝”
Vellum – 5” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White card

I inked up the Fragrant Forest stamp using Shaded Spruce ink and stamped it down onto the smallest panel of Basic White card.

The stamped panel was glued to the 5⅜” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card.

The piece of Vellum was then embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, such a cool effect.

I worked out roughly where the sentiment was going to go and added a piece of Tear ‘N Tape to the stamped panel and added the Vellum overtop, secured in place by the tape.

A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine was wrapped around the panel before it was mounted onto the Night of Navy card base on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Rocking Horse stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Night of Navy ink. It was die cut using the Countryside Corners Dies. It was added over the twine.
