Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my May Class in the Mail using the gorgeous Dandy Wishes Dies. I have to admit I initially overlooked these dies, it wasn’t until I was working on class idea which didn’t involve stamping that I thought of using them. I am so glad I did as they are stunning.
For the class I die cut all the flowers, leaves, circles and rectangles and punched the small dragonflies.
Colours used in the Dandy Garden Wishes Class in the Mail projects are:
Black Dandelion Clocks card
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Black –3¾” by 3 ¾” – to die cut Scalloped Circle
Basic White – 3” by 3” – to die cut Circle
Die cut Dandelion clocks x 2
Small punched Dragonfly
Old Olive Ribbon
Begin by wrapping the Old Olive Ribbon around the Basic White layer securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel can then be glued to the Thick Basic White card base.
Using the Blending Brush, add Balmy Blue ink to the Basic White circle the glue the black dandelion clocks to the circle.
The circle can then be added to the card front on Dimensionals and the stems timed. Finally add the bow, the dragonfly and the black dots.
Dandelion & Clock card
Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” & 2”
Basic Black Stitched scalloped rectangle
Basic White Stitched scalloped rectangle
Die cut leaves, stem, dandelion clock and dandelion heads
Begin by adding the Basic White rectangle to the Black rectangle then add the black Dandelion Clock to the rectangle
Layer the Dandelion flowers one on top of the other curling up the petals of each layer. Add the flower to the stem.
Add the Dandelion and leaves to the rectangle then add the rectangle to the Balmy Blue card base on Dimensionals. Finish by adding the Matte Black Dots.
Ink Blended Background Dandelion card
Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic Black layer – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside – – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White layer – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper right corner
Die cut leaves, stem and dandelion heads
Small punched Dragonfly
Ladybird Trinket
Post It Notes
Place the Post It Notes down the centre of the smaller Basic White panel. Using the Blending Brush add Old Olive ink to the bottom and Balmy Blue ink to the top – remove the Post It notes
Add the inked layer to the other Basic Black panel, then to the Old Olive card base.
Layer the Dandelion flowers one on top of the other curling up the petals of each layer.
Add the flower to the stem. Add the Dandelion and leaves to the inked layer then add the dragonfly. Matte Black Dots and the Ladybird Trinket
I just loved how these cards turned out. I hope you like them .
