Bubble Over for an engagement congratulations card

The Bubble Over stamp set, available from the 3^rd January in my online store, makes a lovely understated congratulations card.

I wanted the main element on the front of the card to look like a bottle of Champagne. I tried stamping the ‘largest bottle’ image in Chocolate Chip ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock, I liked it but the colour just wasn’t right. For the second attempt I tried Old Olive ink but it was much too light so I stamped the bottle again using Always Artichoke ink which was perfect. I die cut the stamped bottle using the co-ordinating Bottles and Bubbles Framelit dies and my Big Shot. I also die cut one of the label pieces from a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the ‘small heart’ image onto the label in Real Red ink and added it to the front of the die cut bottle using Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock using my Paper Trimmer to 5” by 3½”, placed my die cut bottle roughly in position then stamped the heart image using 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd & 4^th generation Real Red ink to look as if the hearts were bubbling out of the bottle. Leaving the bottle roughly in position I inked up the sentiment from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set in Always Artichoke ink and stamped it to the side of the bottle. The bottle was then added to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added apiece of the gorgeous ⅛” Real Red Ribbon from the Autumn/Winter catalogue along the bottom of the panel and tied a small bow. I love this ribbon and will really miss it when it retires next week. To finish the panel off I rounded the upper right corner with my retired Project Life Corner Rounder.

I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock 4⅛” by 3⅝” and added it to the front of a Crumb Cake card base and added the decorated panel using Tombow Liquid Adhesive for both pieces. To add some sparkle I used 3 of the hearts from the Silver Metallic Enamel Shapes.

I plan to give this card to the son of a friend and his new fiancée, hope they like it.

Quirky Quilted Christmas Trees

I have been using the Christmas Quilt stamp set today to make a last minute Christmas card.

I stamped the tiny patterned triangles using Old Olive ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock then added the solid triangles using the Cherry Cobbler ink pad before die cutting the ‘tree’ shape using the Quilt Builder Dies. I also die cut a ‘tree’ in Old Olive using one of the patterns from the Merry Little Christmas DSP .

I die cut a stitched oval using the Layering Oval Framelits from scrap Whisper White cardstock and mounted it onto a scalloped oval die cut from the same set using Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I added the old olive tree to the right side of the oval with Tombow and the stamped tree to the left side of the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals after adding the tree stand in Chocolate Chip ink.

Taking the ‘stitched triangle’ image I stamped in Old Olive ink all over a Cherry Cobbler card base to add some texture to the card. I inked up part of the sentiment from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set using an Old Olive Marker – a great option if you only want some of the words, and stamped it onto a ¼” strip of Whisper White and added it to the card front with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The oval topper was then added on Stampin’ Dimensionals. A bow made from ⅛” Gold Metallic Ribbon was added to the top of the oval using a Mini Glue Dot.

Such a cute card. Hope you like it.

Christmas Quilt for non Christmas cards

Thank you to the lovely ladies who came to this week’s classes which, by popular request were non seasonal themed.

We used the Christmas Quilt stamp set and co-ordinating Quilt Builder dies to make 3 non Christmas themed cards. This is such an amazingly, versatile set and will be fantastic for any quilters or sewers.

The first card we made was stamped. The frame of the quilted piece was stamped in Fresh Fig ink onto Whisper White cardstock and the infilling pieces were stamped in either Berry Burst ink or Pool Party ink. We stamped the sentiment in Berry Burst ink and punched it out using the Duet Banner Punch and backed it with a Pool Party piece punched with the same punch. We added a strip of Berry Burst cardstock and a piece of ⅛” Soft Sky Ribbon (retired) to the stamped panel. We took a Berry Burst card base and stamped the frame piece in the upper left and lower right corner using Fresh Fig ink before adding the Whisper White stamped panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals. We added a Glitter Enamel Dot to the centre.

The 2^nd card was a softer affair. The ladies embossed a Pool Party panel with the Quilt Top embossing folder and my Big Shot and added it to the Pool Party card base after wrapping it with a piece of Berry Burst Ribbon. They then die cut the quilt frame in either Whisper White, Berry Burst, Pool Party or Fresh Fig and shared the pieces with their neighbours. We adhered the frame die cut to a piece of Adhesive sheet and added the coloured pieces just like a jigsaw puzzle. The whole panel was then added to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final card started with a Thick Whisper White card base. We added a dsp panel to the bottom of the card front and an embossed Whisper White panel and covered the join with Berry Burst ribbon. The adorable sentiment was stamped in Berry Burst ink and die cut using the Layering Oval Framelits and backed with a Fresh Fig scalloped oval die cut using the same set of dies. They then die cut the flower in either Whisper White, Berry Burst, Pool Party or Fresh Fig and again, shared the pieces with their classmates. We added the sentiments and the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals. White Perfect Accents were added to the centre of the flower.

Party Panda’s are here and ready to PARTY…….

The Party Panda’s stamp set is Fab..U..Lous, so quirky and cute……I love it. As a demonstrator we get to order new product a month before the new catalogues go live, such a great perk. My pre order arrived on Friday and I couldn’t wait to start stamping with the Party Panda stamp set. I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock 4½” by 3¼” and stamped the sweet Panda with a Balloon using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the sentiment from the same set using Real Red ink.

I coloured the balloon in using the light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends pen and added some depth with the dark Cherry Cobbler pen. I used the colour lifter pen to add a ‘light’ spot to the balloon. I rounded the upper right corner with a Corner Rounder to add some interest.

I took a Real Red card base and added a 5⅞” by 1½” strip of Basic Black cardstock using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. I added the stamped panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the same Panda onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5⅝” by 3⅞” and added it to the inside of the card. I stamped the same image on a Whisper White Envelope to finish off the card.

Rich Razzelberry Season Like Christmas

Today I have used the Season Like Christmas stamp set for a quirky last minute seasonal card.

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock panel 4⅛” by 4”. I stamped the ‘solid’ Christmas tree image using Old Olive Ink. I then over stamped it with the more ‘detailed’ tree image in Garden Green ink for a bit of depth. I then stamped the ‘tree trunk’ image in Early Espresso Ink. I love the way these three images work together to give a 3 dimensional look to the tree.

I added the ‘ground’ using 1^st and 2^nd generation Crumb Cake ink. For a final touch I added the sweet little star from the set in Crushed Curry ink onto the top of the tree.

I added a ½” strip of Gold Glimmer paper to either side of the stamped panel using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. Taking a 5⅞” by ¼” strip of Old Olive cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set onto the strip using Old Olive ink. I glued this strip to a card base of Rich Razzelberry cardstock and added the stamped panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Book Style wrapper holding Christmas cards, tags and envelopes

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who came to the Adult Education Christmas classes in November and December. They made a gorgeous Book fold box with pockets to hold the cards, tags and envelopes they made during the day.

There were 4 project tables set up and the ladies moved from table to table during the day making 2 cards and 2 tags at 3 of the tables and the Book style wrapper and pockets at the 4^th table.

Picture Perfect Birthday for a Bookmark Challenge

Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set makes lovely bookmarks ready to be inserted into the Spring/Summer Catalogues. I made the bookmark/tag as part of a business challenge set by my lovely upline Mikaela. This stamp set will be available in the new Spring/Summer 2018 catalogue from the 3rd January 2018.

I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock 5½” by 2”. I punched one end of the cardstock using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch before stamping the sentiment using Momento Tuxedo Black ink towards the bottom of the tag. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig Stamp Positioning Tool to make sure I got it straight……always a challenge for me!

I mounted the ‘bow’ image onto an Acrylic Block B and the ‘bow shadow’ image onto another Acrylic Block B and began stamping from the bottom up to the top using the following ink colours: Peakaboo Peach, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Berry Burst, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzelberry, Lemon Lime Twist. I inked up each colour, stamped it off onto my Grid Paper then stamped the 2^nd generation ink onto the bookmark – every colour that is with the exception of the Berry Burst where I forgot…..ooops.

I inked the ‘bow shadow’ image in the same ink and stamped it full strength to give some dimension to the image. I really liked the soft colours for this book mark.

To finish I cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock and a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock to 5½” by 2” and punched one end of each using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I adhered the Daffodil Delight tag to the back of the stamped piece, slightly off set, using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The Berry Burst piece was then added in the same way and off set to the other side. I then glued on a business card with my details on it. I added a piece of Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon through the hole at the top and tied it together with a bow made from the Silver ⅛” Ribbon.

Happy with they way this turned out, now to make lots more ready to insert into my new catalogues when they arrive.

Soft bunch of lavender for a thank you card

Lots of Lavender for a quick Thank you card

Today I made a quick thank you card using a new stamp set called Lots of Lavender which will be one of the free choices you can make with a £45 order from the new Spring/Summer and Sale-a-Bration catalogues which launch on the 2^nd January 2018.

I choice a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it down to 5¼” by 3⅜”. I stamped the outline bouquet of flowers in Crumb Cake ink roughly in the centre of the cardstock leaving space for a sentiment below. I inked up the blurry flower image in Sweet Sugarplum ink and stamped it over the top of the Crumb Cake flower to give a pretty watercolored look. I used both of the leaf images and a Pear Pizzazz ink pad to add colour to the leaves and did the stems in the same colour.

I coloured the bow using the bow stamp and Daffodil Delight ink. The sentiment is from my favourite, Thankful Thoughts stamp set and is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink. I rounded the upper left corner using a corner rounder.

I mounted the Whisper White layer onto a panel of Soft Suede cardstock with a rounded top left corner. I chose a Crumb Cake card base and added a strip of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock 5⅞” by 1¾” down the centre to add a touch of colour and interest before adding the stamped piece on top using Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the card off I added 3 of the Glitter Epoxy Shapes which will be available in the new catalogue in January 2018

Happiest of Days for a quick card

The Happiest of Days stamp set is a great set for making quick, simple, stylish cards in a hurry. I used it today for a birthday card and have added a sneak peek of new dsp which will be available from January.

I stamped the image of presents in Archival Basic Gray ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the 2¼” Circle Punch, this was new in the annual catalogue this summer. I coloured in the image using Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette Marker pens and added the sentiment from the Confetti Celebration stamp set in Rich Razzleberry ink.

I punched a circle from Pink Pirouette cardstock using the 2½” punch and added it to the back of the Whisper White circle using Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

Using the Banner Triple Punch I flagged the end of a 5½” by 2” piece of dsp from the upcoming Petal Passion 12” by 12” dsp pack and added it to the front of a Rich Razzleberry card base using Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I added the looped Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon onto the piece of dsp, holding it in place with Fast Fuse Adhesive. The topper piece was then added over the top using Stampin’ Dimensionals. After the photos were taken I added a Black Rhinestone to the centre of each of the bows on top of the presents.

A very simple, understated card, Hope you like it.

Flying Home – a sneak peek

Today I am sharing a sneak peek using the Flying Home stamp set from the new Spring Summer Catalogue which launches in January 2018. As demonstrators we are lucky enough to see new product from upcoming catalogues and also pre order from the new catalogue a month or more before they launch to the public. I stamped the adorable trio of bird houses using Momento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock 5” by 3⅜” and set about colouring the image using the fantastic new Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. I used the following colours: Light & Dark Smoky Slate, Light & Dark Pool Party, Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Cherry Cobbler, Light Old Olive. Light & Dark Calypso Coral, Light & Dark Rich Razzleberry, Light Bermuda Bay, Light & Dark Pink Pirouette, Light Crumb Cake, Light Night of Navy, Ivory. I know colouring in is not for everyone but I love it.

I added the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. A small strip of Washi Tape from the Basics 3 pack on opposite corners finished off the stamped panel.

I adhered an offset panel of Basic Gray cardstock onto a Bermuda Bay card base using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The Very Vanilla cardstock layer was added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Such a simple, sweet card. I hope you like it.
