Rows of wine glasses for a feminine birthday card

Half Full for a feminine birthday card

Today I have been playing with the Half Full stamp set. This lovely set carried over from the Autumn/Winter catalogue and although it does have a couple of Christmas sentiments it is so versatile and makes great masculine cards. Having said that today’s card is for a female friend of mine who is partial to the odd glass of white wine.

Stamping Instructions

I began with a panel of Whisper White cardstock 4¼” by 2⅞”. I placed the panel in the corner of my Stamparatus Stamp Positioning Tool and positioned stamp showing the ‘row of wine glasses’ onto the Whisper White panel at the top before closing the door plate to pick up the stamp.

Using Momento Tuxedo Black ink I inked up the stamp and closed the door plate to stamp the image. I moved the door plate down 1 hinge, inked the stamp up again and repeated. In total I stamped the image 4 times down the panel. I love the precision stamping you get using the hinge method and the Stamparatus.

I removed the stamped panel of Whisper White from the Stamparatus and coloured in 1 glass in each row using the So Saffron Marker Pen. The panel was then added to a piece of Basic Black cardstock 4½” by 3⅛” using Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the In The City stamp set in Momento Tuxedo Black in onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2” by 2” and punched it out using a 1¼” Circle Punch. I added it to a So Saffron circle punched with a 1½” Circle Punch using Tombow Liquid adhesive.

I added a loop of Black Shimmer Ribbon to the back of the sentiment using Fast Fuse Adhesive. The stamped panel was then added to a So Saffron card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment added in the lower right hand corner

New Home In The City

One of my lovely team mates moved house earlier this month and this is the card I made for her using the oh so versatile In The City stamp set.

I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock 5¼” by 3½” and stamped a variety of the sweet little houses just below the mid line of the panel using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I interspersed the houses with a few trees and added a cobbled road in front of the houses using Crumb Cake ink.

I then took the panel to the Big Shot and cut a circle using one of the Layering Circle dies from the middle of the stamped scene. Using the infill stamp for each house I coloured only the parts in the die cut circle, this is called the spotlight technique, using Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder. The roof and doors were stamped with Crumb Cake ink and Smoky Slate ink. I stamped an extra tree on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut the top part after stamping it using Pear Pizzazz ink. I added the top of the tree using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I die cut a slightly larger circle using the Layering Circle dies from the centre of a layer of Soft Sky cardstock 5⅜” by 3⅝” then used this layer to back the large stamped Whisper White panel using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. This whole panel was then added to a Pear Pizzazz card base again using Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the die cut circle piece and laid it into the die cut hole. Love the look of this technique and it works so well with this stamp set.
