Today I am sharing the projects made by the ladies who came to the Stamp-a-Stack event on the 7th July. We had such a lovely time crafting and chatting, what a great way to spend the day.

Thank you to the lovely ladies who came to my classes this month. We had a lot of fun making cards using the gorgeous Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating Daisy Punch. I love the word ‘coordinating’ because I know that Stampin’ Up! will have made the products so easy to use.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Daisy Delight stamp set and daisy Punch by Stampin’ Up!
The 1st card was very straightforward. We randomly stamped the ‘large daisy flower’ 2 or 3 times using Old Olive ink, Calypso Coral ink and Daffodil Delight ink across a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5⅞” by 2½”. We then added a ½” by 5⅞” strip of Old Olive cardstock to the top and bottom of the stamped panel using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto a Scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punched out using the new Pretty Label Punch. We also punched out a label in Calypso Coral cardstock using the same punch and glued the 2 together using Tombow Liquid Adhesive, leaving a a small border of the Calypso Coral showing. This piece was then added with Tombow to the bottom of the stamped panel and the whole layer added to a Thick Whisper White card base using Dimensionals.

For the 2nd card we took a small panel of Whisper White cardstock to stamp a lot of the wild flower images included in the stamp set. The various stems were stamped in Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz or Garden Green and the flowers in Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Berry Burst. Some of the stems and flowers were stamped in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation ink to give some texture to the piece. We rounded the top left corner of the panel and added it, using Tombow Liquid Adhesive to a layer of Daffodil Delight cardstock having rounded the upper left corner. We stamped the sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set in Old Olive ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and flagged the end either with scissors or using the Triple Banner Punch. We flagged a Scrap piece of Old Olive cardstock and added it with Tombow to the card front with the sentiment overlapping. The stamped panel was then added to the left hand side of the Crumb Cake card base using Dimensionals.
The most complicated thing about the 3rd card was the scoring and folding to get the great pop up diamond shape. My inspiration for this card came from a video by Heidi Smith aka flutterbyheidi – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvAK8m5_CcQ&t=307s.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Pop up diamond card template
We took a piece of Thick Whisper White 11” by 4” and using the Stampin’ Trimmer, scored on the long side at 1½”, 3½”. 7½” and 9½” we then slid the cardstock back to 5½” and made a small notch at the top and bottom of the cardstock to mark the mid-point. Using the cutting groove of the Stampin’ Trimmer we lined up the 5½” mark with the bottom 1½” score line and scored a diagonal line joining the two lines and repeated this from the 5½” mark to the top of the 1½” score line. We then repeated this scoring diagonally between the 5½” mark with the 9½” top and bottom. See picture for clarification or watch Heidi’s video. We then folded and burnished the vertical score lines using a Bone Folder, then the diagonal score lines, then folded and burnished the vertical score lines again back on themselves. A gentle push poped out the diamond (for most of the class) hurrah…….. After that decorating was a piece of cake.

We stamped the large daisy stamp twice using Old Olive ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched out both daisies using the Daisy Punch. Using a Sponge Dauber, Daffodil Delight ink pad and a non-stick craft mat we sponged a little colour onto the petals of one of the punched daisies before adhering them together, offset, using Tombow glue. When the glue was dry we used a Bone Folder to curl the petals giving dimension to the project. The daisy was then added to a panel of Whisper White cardstock using Tombow and this panel was glued to a piece of Pool Party cardstock leaving a tiny border. The whole piece was then glued to the pop up diamond on the front of the card base. A Gold Faceted Gem was added to the centre of the daisy. We then stamped 2 daisy stems onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock in Old Olive ink and added the flower head in 1st and 3rd generation Daffodil Delight ink and repeated with a 2nd piece of Whisper White. Both of these panels were then added to a layer of Pool Party cardstock using Tombow before adding to the panels on either side of the card base. We finished the project by making an envelope using the Envelope Punch Board.
The ladies all loved this stamp set and I really enjoyed their company at this month’s classes. Oh, and I made some sweet little co-ordinating (there goes that word again) table gifts. Cute aren’t they.

I am sharing a gorgeous card today made using the Daisy Delight stamp set and co-ordinating Daisy Punch.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Daisy Delight stamp set by Stampin’ Up!
I stamped 2 of the large daisy images with Daffodil Delight ink onto a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched them out with the Daisy Punch. I cut each daisy in half, layered the 2 pieces together using Tombow Liquid Adhesive and turned them into Cone Flowers! Cool huh…….. I stamped 2 daisy flower centres using Chocolate Chip ink and punched then out with the ½” circle punch before adding them to the daisy flowers with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped 2 of the longer flower stems in Old Olive ink onto a panel of Whisper White cardstock and added the cone flowers overhanging the sides. I added a layer of Old Olive cardstock behind the Whisper White panel using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The sentiment from the At home With You stamp set was stamped in Old Olive ink before adding the whole panel to a Thick Whisper White card base.
Such a simple, clean looking card, I love it.

It was my Mum’s birthday earlier this week and this is the card I made her using the gorgeous new Daisy Delight stamp set and co-ordinating Daisy Punch.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch
I stamped the large ‘daisy’ image twice on Whisper White cardstock using Berry Burst ink and punched both flowers out using the new co-ordinating Daisy Punch. I layered the daisies, one on top of the other, offset to give a full daisy flower and stuck them together with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. I used my Bone Folder to curl the petals adding dimension to the flower. I added one of the sparkly new Gold Faceted Gems to the centre for a bit of bling.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch
I cut a layer of Chocolate Chip cardstock 5⅛” by 3⅝” and die cut the branch from the Seasonal Layers dies using my Big Shot, making sure that the die was well away from the edges of the panel. I ran a 5” by 3 ½” panel of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder and added it to the layer of Chocolate Chip cardstock I had used to die cut the branches. This is a great trick for making the most of our lovely cardstock and no-one will ever know……..except you………. Before adhering the panels I used my WRMK’s Corner Chomper to round the upper right corner of both panels and the card base.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch
I placed my daisy in the lower left hand corner and added the branches behind, trimming them down until I was happy with the look. I thought it still needed something so rummaged through my spare die cut leaves and found 2 from the Botanical Builders dies cut from Wild Wasabi cardstock and again cut them apart to fill the space around the daisy. When I was happy with the placement I carefully glued everything down using Tombow Liquid Adhesive leaving the flower until last. Finally I stamped the sentiment from the At Home With You stamp set in Berry Burst ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and trimmed it out using scissors.
www.crafty-rootes.com – Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch
I was really happy with this card but thought I would try making it using a more open embossed background. I chose the new Oh My Stars Embossing Folder and also changed the leaves by stamping the leaf from the Daisy Delight stamp set in 1st and 2nd generation Wild Wasabi ink. Let me know which one you like better.
