A card made for the Creating With Scraps Blog Hop using scraps of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

Striped Tree card – Creating With Scraps Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Creating With Scraps Blog Hop where we are using scraps to create our projects today. I have used scraps of the pretty Winter Meadow designer Series Paper to make my pretty striped tree card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the striped tree card, you will need:

Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pretty Peacock card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Pretty Peacock card – 2” by ⅜”

From scrap offcuts of Winter Meadow Designer series paper (dsp), I cut a number of strips ¼” or ⅜” wide.

Using the Merriest Trees Dies I die cut the largest tree from the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card. The negative piece was then embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder.

I placed the die cut tree onto the Pretty Peacock panel and used a pencil to lightly draw around the shape. This would give me a guide when adding my strips of dsp.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I added each strip of dsp to the Pretty Peacock layer, trimming off the excess dsp as I went.

The sentiment, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Pretty Peacock card. I had masked off the bottom of the sentiment prior to inking it up as I only wanted the ‘merry christmas’.

A pretty, colourful Christmas card made for the Christmas Blog Hop using the Celebrate With Tags stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Winter Mittens card for the Christmas Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Christmas Blog Hop where we are sharing seasonal themed projects. I have used the mittens from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set to make my card.

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the Winter mittens card you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 2¼”
Azure Afternoon card – 4½” by ⅜” x 2
Basuc White card – 2⅝”by 1¼”
Azure Afternoon card – 2¾” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

The 2 snowflake images, from the Beary Cute stamp set, were mounted onto one acrylic block and randomly stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto the Crumb Cake card front.

The mitten was stamped in the centre of the 4⅛” by 2¼” panel of Basic White using Azure Afternoon. I used Grid Paper to help me get the mitten in the centre of the panel.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the longer strips of Azure Afternoon card to the top and bottom of the stamped panel and trimmed off the excess. The whole panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Rocking Horse stamp set, was stamped in Azure Afternoon ink onto the small piece of Basic White card. The smaller strip of Azure Afternoon card was glued along the bottom and the whole piece was tucked under the decorated panel.

A strip of Tear ‘N Tape was added to the card front and I looped some of the 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine and pressed the loops into the tape to secure it.

The sentiment, from the Celebrate With Tags stamp set was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card. I punched it out with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I also punched another from the scrap Night of Navy card. I cut the Navy label in half and added it behind the white tag showing just a little colour top and bottom.
