Hello and welcome to the to the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where we are CASEing (copy and share everything) the new 2024 – 2025 Annual Catalogue. I was looking forward to trying out the new Layers of Beauty stamp set, masks and dies and so used an image from p57 in the new catalogue to make my card. In the best tradition of CASEing I have opted to copy and selectively edit the inspirational card.
Colours used in this card are:
To recreate the layers of beauty card, you will need:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lighter Than Air dsp – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Gorgeous Grape – 1 ¾” by ⅜”
The panel of Lighter Than Life dsp was adhered to the Thick Basic White card front and set it aside.
The large floral image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the larger panel of Basic White card.
Using the Layers of Beauty masks, one at a time, to add colour to the flowers. I used Peach Pie ink and a Blending Brush to colour the large roses. The small flowers were coloured with Highland Heather ink and the leaves with Soft Sea Foam using Blending Brushes each time. Each mask adds another layer of colour creating depth and dimension to the image. The image was then die cut using the Layers of Flowers dies.
I added the 5⅛” by 3⅜” panel to the card front on Dimensionals and added the coloured image, also on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink onto the small piece of Gorgeous Grape ink. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I added it to the card front.
A trio of Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins finished the card.
Please hop on to see what caught the eye of my crafty friends in the new Annual Catalogue.
