A pretty birthday card made using the Hydrangea Hill stamp set for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hydrangea Haven for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop where our theme is the new January – June and Sale-A-Bration catalogues which have just gone live. So many lovely things in both catalogues and who doesn’t love the opportunity to earn free goodies. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Hydrangea Haven stamp set to work with today.

If you have joined me from the lovely Stacey Marsh, welcome and please continue to hop around the demonstrators and get lots of inspiration.

To recreate Hydrangea Hill card, you will need:

Just Jade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Flirty Flamingo – 4¾” by 2¾” – rounded lower right corner
Fluid 100 Water Color Paper – 4⅝” by 2⅝” – rounded lower right corner
Scrap Just Jade card
Very Vanilla – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded lower right corner – for the inside

I inked up the pretty hydrangea stamp with Versamark ink and used the Stamparatus to stamp the image onto Fluid 100 Water color paper. I did this twice to ensure that I had a good image on the textured card stock.

The stamped image was then covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set using my Heat Tool.

Using Flirty Flamingo ink, squeezed into the lid of the ink pad and a Water Painter Brush I painted the flower head. As the color dries and added more in selected areas to deepen some of the flowers. I then added some Cherry Cobbler ink to selected areas of the flower. I used the same technique to add Just Jade ink to the stem and leaves.

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the inked layer to the Flirty Flamingo panel. A piece of pretty Lace trim was then wrapped around the panel, secured on the back with Sellotape and the whole panel was then added n Dimensionals to the Just Jade card base.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Just Jade card, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool. I flagged the end and added the sentiment to the card front on Dimensionals.

Pretty feminine birthday cards made using the Paper Blooms dsp a Sale-A-Bration choice from Stampin' Up!

Paper Blooms card in the mail class

Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my first Class in the Mail. I used the lovely Paper Blooms designer Series Paper to make the cards. This is one of the free choices from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure with a £45 order.

Each person taking the class received all the card stock needed to make the cards, a 6” by 6” pack of the Paper Blooms dsp, a strip of Rhinestones, 3 envelopes and the die cut circles and label for the sentiments. As per Stampin’ Up! Policy no stamped images or sentiments were included and the ladies taking the class used what they had to hand. I had die cut a selection of flowers and leaves from the dsp for the ladies to use on their cards.

To recreate the double flower card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Rococo Rose – 5½” by 3¾”
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Night of Navy – ¼” strip
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Paper Blooms card in the mail class using Stampin’ Up! products.

Adhere the dsp to the Rococo Rose layer, then glued the panel to the Night of Navy card base.

Flag the ends of the strip of Night of Navy card and glue it to the card front. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto the die cut Whisper White label and use dimensionals to add to the card front.

Choose the flowers and leaves from the die cut selection and add with either glue or dimensionals. Embellish with Rhinestones.

To recreate the single flower card, you will need:

Rococo Rose card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛
Whisper White – 4⅛” by 3⅛” – embossed using the Painted Textures embossing folder
Paper Blooms dsp – 5⅞” by 2½”
Night of Navy – ¼” strip
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside

Select a piece of dsp and adhere it to the Rococo Rose card base, add the strip of Night of Navy strip. Add the embossed panel of Basic White card.

Fussy cut the flower from the dsp and add it to the card front using glue and/or Dimensionals.

Stamp and add your chosen sentiment – spare white card stock in the pack. Decorate with Rhinestones.

To recreate the Group of Flowers card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 5⅜” by 3⅝” scored at 4⅛”

Using the smaller bokeh image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set to add the bubbles around the zebra. Colours used were Blushing Bride, Highland Heather, Balmy Blue,Mango Melody and Magenta Madness. I used 1st, 2nd and even 3rd generation stamping to add extra dimension.

I removed the mask and stamped the ‘ground’ image from the Zany Zebra stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink so that the poor zebra isn’t hovering in mid air.

I glued the stamped layer to the Basic Black layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and set it aside.

Using the same bokeh image I stamped around the the left side and the top of the Highland Heather card base using Highland Heather ink. The stamped panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Zany Zebras stamp set was stamped in Highland Heather ink onto scrap Whisper White and punched out using the Classic Label Punch. I punched another label from scrap Basic Black and offset it behind the sentiment and added it to the card front with adhesive.

A pretty, lipstick and flowers card made using the Dressed to Impress stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Lipstick and Flowers

This is a sweet lipstick and flowers birthday card made using the Dressed to Impress Stamp set and All Dressed Up dies.

To recreate the lipstick and flowers card you will need:

Flirty Flamingo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Early Espresso – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Early Espresso – 3” by 3”
Whisper White – 3” by 3”
Scrap Whisper White

Using Flirty Flamingo ink I stamped the single and double flowers randomly over the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Whisper White. The panel was then glued to the Early Espresso layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped a strip of Whisper White Crinkle Ribbon around the panel and secured it to the back of the panel with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Flirty Flamingo card base with the same liquid glue.

I trimmed off a little from the left side of the circle and added it to the card front on Dimensionals. I used the dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Marker to colour in a trio of Basic Pearls before adding them to the card front.

I hope you like the card,
